This union is affiliated to the English Democrats, a far right political party. They had a joint conference in Nottingham in October 2024. It is not a union that fights for improved working conditions for workers but an organisation that tries to recruit for the English Democrats.

Superb union. WEU do not ask a colleague to represent the worker at a formal meeting as other unions do. WEU send a union rep. WEU are focused only on the right to a fair workplace. It does not affiliate to any political campaigns.

Been a member since covid. I requested advice as I was facing a disciplinary, emailed them everything requested and heard nothing from them. I was left to go to disciplinary alone, no advice nothing. Now I have had no choice but to accept a final written warning for ridiculous accusations made against me. Never had a warning in the 15 years I've held this job. The impact this has had on me is soul destroying so I've cancelled my direct debit and I want a full refund of all I've paid to them. For reference my surname is Beresford

Been reading the negative reviews on here. Cannot say how true (or false) they are. I wanted to comment on my experience. I joined sometime around summer 2021 I believe and have been a member ever since. During the covid scamdemic, I needed a union that stuck up for bodily autonomy and informed consent. All the other unions (with exception of NEU) were pushing these injections. Thankfully I didn't need them in the end due to the government reversing their no jab, no job policy but we were going through the process of submitting a clinical exemption based on protected characteristics. I did however use them for mask mandates. After 2 years of wearing a mask daily at the hospital, I said enough was enough. I researched how useless these surgical face masks and was represented by Ryan Karter. After a video meeting, the hospital backed down and I was allowed to carry on working without wearing a mask. I'm sure this union is not perfect and it's sad to see great people like Warren Barratt Leigh leave (for reasons unknown to me) but they are small, under staffed and I wish for them to grow and improve.

Honestly, I want to give them a minus for terrible service.
I asked for a rep to accompany me at a meeting, gave dates times ect... noone confirmed so had to reschedule and then was told that they could only video call during meeting, after paying 3 months in advance. I wasnt happy so I asked to cancel membership and be refunded but they just ignored me and charged me for another £10.95 instead... on the same month that I had already paid! So far they are not responding to me and when I call they just tell me someone will get back to me, but nobody does!! This is scamming behaviour and I would not recommend! I want my money back and my membership cancelled!

Avoid, after getting friends and family to join. The union did nothing to assist me. I ended up losing my job and had no support from them, left messages and they failed to return calls, eventually I got through and they told me that they were busy. My colleague also had no help. We both quit. Save your time and money. The reply below is not factual. The person in the call centre was rude and told me that the union was busy and I should have some consideration for others who had lost their jobs. At no point were they concerned that I was losing my own. Throughout the ordeal all I was offered was telephone communication informing me of what I needed to do, this was scarcely adequate as I needed support. The union offered none. They operate with scant regard to their members. I have told all the people I encouraged to join to not bother. My colleague was also left high and dry with an industrial injury claim. Ineffective.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! false reference and the union (Stephen) did nothing to challenge them. I wrote all the challenging emails and they would simply forward them onto the employer without any input. They dragged out the process and did nothing to get the employer to provide evidence. After all that I was told to go to ACAS for deformation.... also the office manager literally shouted and screamed at me down the phone when I questioned their poor support.
