Best fish and chip shop we've been too. Travelled from London and raved about them 2 years ago when we were last here. We only go to this fish and chip shop while we are here as no fish and chip shop could be better than them. The food is absolutely cooked to perfection. The batter is just delicious. The chips are the mouthwatering kind. Portions are great and the price is reasonable. Our dog was standing guard outside waiting for his sausage which he devoured in about 2 seconds. Staf are really friendly, welcoming and had a nice chat with them.
We voted for them for the Buisness Awards- Best Fish and Chip Shop so anyone reading this, please vote as they deserve the credit!

On holiday for a few days. Always have fish and chips at the seaside. Took a look in the nearby chippies and decided on Woodys. I had large haddock and medium chips. Wife had fishcake and small chips. Ordered food and waited a very short time while it was freshly cooked, boxed and bagged. We took food back to our holiday home and ate it. It was all absolutely delicious and the portions were plenty. Best we've had in a long time. Great value too.

This place was recommended by a friend in Stoke who had previously been there and they were not wrong. Lovely portion of chicken bites and chips for £8.50 Inc a drink. Very quick polite service.

I hadn't visited Kent since 2012 and I told my friends that all I wanted on my return to the UK was proper fish and chips.

This is where they took me and I couldn't have been more pleased!

I gave the poor girl at the register a hard time as I put on a thicker than usual American accent and acted like I had never even heard of fish and chips. We all had a good laugh. Hope to return one day!

Was recommended to come here by a local who said there was always a queue of people when they came past. They weren’t wrong and the queue moved quickly. They added exactly the right amount of salt & vinegar so it was seasoned perfectly. The batter was very yellow in colour but it all tasted nice. I thought my large cod was on the small side but I was full once I’d eaten. Would definitely come back here again if I’m in the area.

Delicious fish and chips! And some other good stuff served here. Curry sauce is really good. I've put the prices up, correct as of August 2022.

Called in yesterday to grab lunch. Chips were great , gravy was amazing and to top it off a perfect cup of tea. Great people running the place , very friendly and helpful.
