We've been leaving our dog with Wayside for a number of years now and have always been so pleased with the service. Our senior dog has had some issues just lately which I discussed with Eloise. She was so understanding and reassuring that I knew our dog would be in safe hands during our holiday. When we collected our dog the fact she trotted back to Eloise to say goodbye told me all that I needed to know - our dog had a great week, was well looked after and happy. Wayside Kennels is the perfect place for our dog and I'll be booking her back in again soon. Thank you Wayside for your kind attention and great communication. Highly recommended!

As always when we bring both our cats here, friendly staff and know that they will be well looked after. Nothing to fault . Wouldn't go anywhere else . So definitely recommend them . You won't be disappointed ..The staff are very professional in their caring of the cats and dogs in this establishment .. So a big thank you for looking after our 2. See you next year..

TLDR: IF YOUR DOG HAS SEPARATION ANXIETY, DON’T USE THIS KENNELS.

The only reason they have one star is because of their prompt response to inquiries. Other than that, I can’t think of anything good at all. Our boy, Hugo, stayed with them for 4 days, 3 nights. When we picked him up, (1) he was so dirty and stank as hell, smells like poop (2) he has lost his voice, a proof that he was in distress and barked most of the time, (3) a part of his nose was peeling away, and (4) he slept for most of the first two days since we picked him up, again proof that he probably didn’t have a proper sleep in the kennels. And even with all these, we and our emergency contact did not receive any message from them updating us of his condition. We would have appreciated if they were honest and just told our contact to take Hugo home. We now cancelled the future bookings we have with them as I CAN NOT put my lovely dog through that again.

Another thing, when we picked up our dog, we were asked to pay the whole invoice (deposit not taken) even if we paid for the deposit beforehand. Mind you, we were tired, jet lagged from our travels so I thought of looking through it when I have more headspace. So turns out that the deposit that is meant to be for the first booking (May), they assumed that it is the deposit for a date that (admittedly) I neither confirmed nor cancelled (June), it was provisionally booked. Which is odd in a way because per previous emails, we are clearly talking about the May booking when I sent the deposit. They should have clarified it with their customers, especially for first time customers, and not just give the excuse of “THAT’S JUST HOW WE DO IT”. How the hell would I know if you don’t tell me? Sorry for not being a mind reader.

To summarise, I WILL NEVER, EVER USE THEM AGAIN.

Spirit my German Shepherd had never been in Kennels before. Thank you everyone at Wayside for giving her a 5* experience. I was having major surgery and had regular updates so could relax knowing she was having a great time. Keeping her for an extra day as I wasn't ready to have her home was so helpful to me. Recommend highly.

Sadly we didn't get chance to view these kennels before boarding our dog there, as they said they were too busy. Photos on the website all looked good though.
My dog went off happily with the kennel girl and when we picked him up he seemed happy enough.
Once home we did notice that he was very dusty and slightly smelly, but nothing a good bath didn't put right.

My Frenchie absolutely loves going here. They're lovely and I feel completely at ease knowing that my old boy is here being looked after and safe. Sometimes I just send him here for a little weekend doggie break as he likes it that much. ?
