Lovely food but i didn't find the staff very friendly!
We weren't given a drinks menu or a dessert menu. It really felt like they didn't want our custom.
Toilets were clean but not aesthetically pleasing as there were electrical wires coming out of the walls.

The best cheesy chips in Somerset, an amazing old pub that is huge once inside. Visited after one of there main events so seating was being put back into it's places. Food order very quick to delivery. Spoken to staff and owner who are extremely polite which was nice to see.
Will visit again for sure and the owner has said that upgrades are being carried as and when.

Camping and parking onsite so during summer holiday I this inn is very busy.

Ample parking and beautiful beer garden.

Nice pub with lots of eating areas. Friendly welcome on arrival. Didn't have to go to the bar, drinks and food ordered at the table. Service was good and the food was very tasty, best sirloin steak i have had in a long time. Plenty of parking and a campsite at the back. Would be a great place to spend the weekend with a touring caravan or camper van.

We had the most delicious Sunday roast that we have had out for a long time. Everything was cooked to perfection and plenty of it as well. Vegetables were cooked perfectly. The roast potatoes were the best that we have EVER had. Well done to staff and the chef's. We are definitely coming again.

What a wonderful place to stop and have something to eat. We thought it was closed when we pulled up but then we spotted a light on and the door was open.
It was quiet when we were here but the food was to die for. Not much variety for the lunchtime menu but enough.
The desserts looked and tasted fantastic, well done all

We were staying in Watchfield with our dog so walked to The Watchfield Inn for dinner. We both had sirloin steak, which came with chips, onion rings, tomato, garlic mushrooms and some salad. It was huge! My steak was well done and my husbands was medium, both cooked to perfection. I loved the pretty lighting inside and out. It transformed the pub, magical. Our dog was also welcomed inside.

We had an excellent meal with good service. Their chips are so good! Very fresh and crisp. It was slightly noisy because they had a live band playing outside but it wasn't a problem.

Popped in on Sunday for a light lunch but they were only serving Sunday roast.
We didn't want a huge meal as we were going out for dinner that evening with family.
We asked the server if we could just order the kids carvery, she said if you want a kids meal go to McDonald's!
We just ordered drinks and didn't order a meal and have never gone back since. Such a shame that she doesnt realise that customer's pay her wages and it doesn't matter what they order.
Go to the Packhorse Inn. They have fantastic food and friendly staff.
