Spacious carpark £5 all day. Small visitors centre with a selection of gifts. You can also purchase coffee. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Clean toilets, and there was a charging station for e-bikes as well as a tool station.
A good place to start if you want to walk part of Hadrians wall. We walked from Walltown to Sycamore Gap about 8 miles and then used the bus back, which was every two hours from Steel Rig carpark.

We went to the Walltown Country Park as its advertised on Google as being the best place to see Hadrians Wall. The visitor centre only sells hot and cold drinks which you serve yourself and some chocolate bars so if you're looking for anything more you won't get it here. Great big open spaces for children to play and a few picnic tables but that's about it. We took the trail to see the wall and walked over an hour through fields of sheep and sheep poo only to find a few small ruins. Not what was advertised. Wouldn't recommend.

A nice country park that would make a good start point for a walk along Hadrians Wall.
There are segments of Wall and remains of fortlets within easy walking distance and larger sections of the wall within 30 minutes walk of the car park.
The toilets are a good standard for public loos and very clean.
The visitor centre was closed when I was there so can't comment on that.
Lots of picnic tables around the park for those who bring there own grub. A few signed paths for walks around the park are nice for those looking for shorter walks within the park.
There is a labyrinth but seemed a bit unloved when I was there and in Nedd of a bit of TLC although it may look better in Spring/Summer.

Easily accessible and this area undoubtedly provides some of the best views around with Hadrians Wall at the centrepoint.

Well worth a visit.

You can have some great circular walks, or walk a great section of Hadrian's wall, also known for its dark skies, Northumbria is one of the best places in Europe for stargazing as there's no light pollution.

Lovely country park on the Hadrians Wall path. Plenty of picnic tables. Nice coffee shop and clean toilets. I stopped overnight here (£10 parking) hoping for some star gazing but got cloud cover. There is a Roman Museum over the road too ?

Fantastic place- amazing section of Hadrians Wall, and great walks both up onto the crags, and to Thirlwall Castle. Parking and access really easy for our motorhome. Phew! Staff member in visitor centre was very friendly, and helpful . Spent a good few hours based there.
