It’s your fault that I received a broken washing machine. I have tried to contact you through every possible channel—chat, phone, in-store—and after 3 days of effort, I finally get through. I spend over an hour explaining the problem, sending photos, and providing all the necessary information. The agent barely understands half of what I’m saying. I request an exchange because I urgently need a washing machine as I have a baby, and when I choose an alternative washing machine (since the one we ordered is no longer available in my area), no other options are even offered to me. The agent proceeds to say that the system isn’t working and the only thing they can do is process a refund, which I won’t receive for over three weeks. I’m told to buy another washing machine and pay for shipping again.

I will never, ever, ever buy from Argos again. I am utterly disappointed. Then you expect customers not to shop at Amazon and to support other businesses? After this experience, I have lost all trust in you. Goodbye forever.

I purchased a new TV in place of a very ancient one. Even after reading the installation booklet I was still confused but looking once more at the associated paperwork there was mention of Argos Technical Support. I rang and after a short wait Alec answered, took some details and he very expertly guided me (very patiently) on how to fully set up the TV stage by stage. I was very pleased at the outcome and would recommend calling them if encountering similar difficulties.

I bought a new TV from Argos and had a problem setting it up. The lady who talked me through setting it up was fantastic at explaining everything and very patient when I had to repeat things. I couldn't have had a better customer experience.

I have given one star because I cannot give a minus rating.
I ordered a new toaster online which was delivered 2 days later. However, on plugging in the toaster it immediately tripped out all the electrics in the house, so was clearly faulty. I followed the instructions given by support at Argos in their FAQ and replaced the fuse in the plug . This made no difference and the electrics all tripped out again. Clearly a faulty product.
I tried to contact Argos on their online "Chat" which cut me off. I then rang the helpline who asked I send photos of the item, so I had to do that and then ring them again and give a ticket number. Then passed around from pillar to post from various people, to ultimately be told I should contact the manufacturer who would test if it was faulty and decide if the item could be replaced. I was given a phone number for the manufacturer, the number was not recognised.
I was on the phone for over 2 hours.
So I am still left with a faulty item , which I am now going to have to take back to my nearest store which involves a 35 mile round journey.
The customer service at Argos is absolutely appalling. I will never buy anything from this store again. It is not worth the hassle.
