This is a very basic hotel but if you're not bothered by frills, then you might be OK here. The single room (rm 5) was clean, sheets and towels were good quality and the bed comfortable. Parking is available too which is useful. However, the age of the building means no double glazing so I might as well have been sleeping on the hard shoulder of the M4! The traffic noise is awful, it started to quieten down around midnight but it was busy again at 6am so very little sleep which was a shame. I believe the owners are in the process of updating the property so there was no breakfast available although there are a couple of local cafes available. Lots of drawer space but no wardrobe so you'll have to hang your clothes off the drawer handles or the door. Tea/coffee making facilities are there but very basic. If it wasn't for the noise, I'd have been happy enough to stay but it was ridiculous, so I've had to spend another Β£200 to stay elsewhere for the remainder of my visit.

The review is for the bar/breakfast not for the accommodation. This is a typical village pub. If you are expecting hipster decor and vibe then this isn’t the place for you. But if a warm welcoming easygoing place is what you want then head here when in Radstock. |A group of us went on a freezing morning after parkrun amidst unexpected snowfall. The place had quite a few customers (mainly post parkrun crowd) and there was a mixup with some breakfast orders. So we had to wait some time for ours to arrive. But when it did it was worth the wait. Lovely ingredients and generous portions at an affordable price. And they catered for Coeliacs which meant gluten free breakfast options too. Yay! You basically build your own on a hand marked piece of paper. Tea/coffee is self-service but no complaints about that either. |As I noted, if you are happy with an easygoing place then you will enjoy it. If back in Radstock again, I will definitely be back.

Tired looking room, need revamp urgently, but size is generous and it was warm inside, beds comfy too. No food in pub downstairs but allowed to bring from elsewhere. Glad, that room access is key protected from pub drinking punters, felt safer above.

Beware! This hotel does not exist. I arrived on Thursday last for a reserved two night stay only to find that the business has been sold. A rather run down bar on the ground floor is still operating (just!!) but there are no rooms available. My thanks however to the Bar Manager and a couple of customers in helping me to source alternative accommodation for the first night.

Visited for Sunday lunch as I'm new to the area. Received a warm welcome upon arrival. Opted for the roast beef, and the food not only arrived promptly but also looked and tasted delicious. Highly recommend and will surely return!||Visited for Sunday lunch as I'm new to the area. Received a warm welcome upon arrival. I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, but I think those who posted one star reviews must have stayed at a different place. Whilst not luxurious ( rated 3star ) the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good value for money. Staff and locals in the bar friendly. A good affordable place to stay.

Run down property with zero service and no food on offer u less your there on a Sunday. Room was dirty and basic. Noise from road outside, earplugs a must.Plus side, comfy bed, warm, clean sheets and towels, hot water on tap.

As a single man, I always like to treat myself to a Sunday roast. Have tried others around Radstock, but this is arguably the best one. Great portions, fantastic price and lovely service. I see why you have to book! Highly recommended:)
