Arrived to deliver 3 bags of clothes. There was a European lady sitting in a shipping container busy on her phone. I asked her what the process was and I didn’t really get a response or perhaps I didn’t understand. Anyway, I took the bags out and she inspected them before weighing them and paying. A few items were rejected because apparently they were not clean enough or too worn out. however, they accepted other items including shoes and handbags. Overall a quick positive and experience. Payment was at a rate of 50p per KG.

My experience was pretty much same as others
I washed and folded all the clothes I took , they do not weigh the bags just pulled out and started saying too old and dirty I was insulted there were a lot of people sitting on the floor sorting out.
I had 5 bags said they would take 1 I told them no way, so took them elsewhere Clothes Buyer at Tibury Essex, and was treated fairly and with respect came away happy and would go there again.

Please DO NOT use the Teddys service in Purfleet. The foreign ladies who work there are SO rude.

I called before i arrived and asked the following questions ...
Do you take bedding - "yes".
Do you take curtains - "yes".
Do you take towels - "yes".

When i arrived, i hadnt even reached the desk and she screamed across the car park at me "No No No - we dont take that" (i was holding bedding and towels).

Embarrased that i was screamed at, i walked closer and explained i had already phoned earlier and was told "Yes".
So she rolled her eyes at me and started to snatch the items from my arms and inspect them before throwing them in piles on the floor while shouting "Yes / No".

The items i was bringing to her came from my Nan and Grandads house who have recently passed away. It was extremely hard to clear their belongings let alone watch a stranger throw them all over the floor in disgust.

I felt so embarrassed, uncomfortable and angry at the way this lady was treating me.
I decided to gather my belongings and leave there immediatly.

Firstly, it quite clearly states on the website that Teddys accepts Bedding, Clothes, Sheets, Towels, Curtains.
Secondly, this foreign lady has absolutley no customer care skills and was so rude to me which then prompted the other foreign ladies sitting in the other containers to speak in there own language and laugh at me as i was walking away.

This is no way to treat a human being, let alone your customers.

I would NEVER recommend Teddys.

(There is a star ticked as you cannot leave 0 stars which is what i would recommend)

Unhelpful, did not want to accept clothes when saw how many bags was saying everything was not good quality but all they was interested in was looking at the brands on the labels to see what was good clothing i thought i was meant to be CASH 4 CLOTHES not LOOK FOR THE BRANDS to accept will never recommend this service at purfleet again will never revisit
