Visited recently to update some details was greeted by a very pleasant gentleman who directed me to my appointment. My WC whom was informed about myself having to lip read was a pleasure to talk with and the whole experience was smooth and painless. My visit to the Jobcentre was a very positive and pleasant experience, with helpful advisors that helped me complete my Universal Credit claim.

Unfortunately, the entire claims process is let down by a incredibly flawed, automated telephone that makes it incredibly difficult to speak to a human being.

Anyway, my visit today was surprisingly pleasant, with security guards that were helpful, polite and even helped me get seated by moving a chair for me (I'm disabled) as I sat down!

5 stars for the service today, it was a a real surprise.

job centre what can you say, the security guards could do with a bit of training on customer service. my first ever visit there had no idea where to go so asked one of them, just the tone of there voice was such that I was below them and how dare I speak to them. my personal job coach on the other hand was lovely, totally understanding that the current situation was out of my control due to redundancy (only my 5th) and because of health issues in recent years why I was no longer able to do certain types of work.

The place is without a public toilet. The person from G4S is not helping is just sitting and looking into his phone. Time for appointments are inrelevant. Public place with no toilets in 21st century. I could not believe on this.

They are generally unhelpful and definitely don't seem motivated to really help you. Never really got anywhere with them years ago and my work experience practically got crucified. Basically told all my office experience was useless as I hadn't done it in months. Their advice didn't help in the slightest. They do have some nice people working there, though. The downstairs receptionist area was usually pleasant to me.

The Highest chance is they do not reply at all, If you are a lucky one you have to call at least 5 different numbers to end up with a ten minute window of waiting with music that drives you crazy after 30 seconds.

If you are really lucky you get an appointment after ages of listening to computer voices and bad music. But you will still end up without any help from them. Applying for national insurance? "Not a problem at all, takes us 4-5 weeks maximum", said the woman from the job center eight weeks ago. I'm wondering about me that I even excepted them to get my insurance number ready...

So in the end we can sum up the situation really shortly:

The whole club of unmotivated people waste your time and do not help you at all. But sadly, you have to deal with them if you want to open a bank account. It's an imposition.

From Monday it's impossible to contact this place... It should be more people employed as I and many more need to contact this place! I made over 100 phone calls from Monday and the line is busy. I was twice 2h each listening the music and finally my call ended. What is going on? We need you people there to help us?!
