Spit n roast catered our whole wedding day in August and without a shadow of doubt they were AMAZING!! We were so happy not only with the food but also the service we received. Our guests did nothing but rave about how good the food was and we couldn’t agree more.
Picking a caterer was one of our biggest worries because the food at a wedding is one of the things your guests will remember (and moan about if it’s not good) but we didn’t have that issue at all. The food was delicious and there was so much as well. Perfection on a plate.
We were guided through the whole process with ease, communication from the team was amazing and we were always kept in the loop and guided when we needed it. Nothing was too much and they made the whole process smooth sailing.
They even stayed later than agreed to make sure everyone was fed and happy.
I will recommend Spit n Roast to absolutely anyone that will listen because they are quite frankly, perfect.

Used Spit and Roast for my Captains day at the golf club on the 22nd of June 2024.

I found them on line looking for a BBQ company that could come and cater the day. Sometimes that works out and sometimes it doesn’t, it’s always a chance you take. After a conversation with Ian I decided to employee their services based on the feeling that he was passionate about what they do and a clear impression of professionalism.

After a meeting in person with Ian and Stuart I felt even more at ease, everything was carefully and purposefully planned, I felt I was in good hands.

Considering we were catering for 120-150 people I was nervous as you would expect, I needn’t have worried. From the early morning around 6.30am when they arrived to prepare for the day, to the end of the day, everything was exceptional.

The breakfast was superb, excellent produce freshly cooked and presented beautifully. When serving 100 or so people over and hour it is not easy to maintain a high standard, none of the usual dried bacon and sausages with sloppy eggs and dry bread, the breakfast served was excellent from start to finish.

After golf they had 100 hungry golfers and other afternoon guests to feed. I went for the Hog Roast, Lamb Roast with the simple BBQ option for the children and those preferring burgers and sausages, along with a vegetarian option including gluten free option with salads and sides.

Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The Hog roast was impressive, moist and tasty as was the Lamb Roast, the other BBQ items were also excellent as were the salads and sides, the only problem was being too full up to enjoy more.

I am a keen cook and I must say I was very impressed with the quality provided especially considering the amount of people to cater for. The service and the food was way beyond expectations and was exceptional value for money.

I was worried about having enough food, again there was no need. Ian and Stuart made sure that this would not happen, in fact they over catered and we had some left over because there was so much food, however it all got snapped up in no time in doggy bags.

Needles to say the day was a great success, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food, I had nothing but positive comments and high praise for the guys at Spit and Roast. The members said that the food that day was the best they had ever known at a Captains day.
People are still talking about it to me now.

I can highly recommend Spit and Roast, a gem of a company like this one with such high standards of excellence in all areas is hard to find, I will certainly be calling on them again as soon as the opportunity arises.

The team catered my 40th birthday, and did an absolutely fantastic job! The meat was perfectly cooked and lightly smoked. The salads were complex and top quality. Lots of guests told me how much they enjoyed it. The team was very good at communicating in advance so everything went seamlessly. Would not hesitate to recommend! Thank you!

We booked Spit 'N' Roast originally in 2019 for our wedding in 2020 but due to the pandemic it ended up taking place last month. We cannot thank the guys enough for the fantastic BBQ and sides and then the evening pizza's. The food was incredible and the service was amazing.
I felt like such a pain changing the date three times and then the venue but they could not have been more accommodating, understanding and lovely about it.

I cannot stress enough how amazing these guys are. They catered for our wedding (09.07.22) and we had canapés, hog roast and evening pizzas. Not only was the food sensational, these guys were so friendly and helpful and even helped out with other little bits we needed to do for our DIY wedding after they arrived at 7am to get the hog roast ready for an afternoon service. I would 100% recommend them and would not hesitate to use them for any catering we needed in the future. The only thing I’m upset about is that I can’t eat it all again today - especially the canapés!
