Ian recently installed a summerhouse for us and in terms of the quality of his work, we couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. Ian took the time to add extra touches (for example wood fascia around the roof and building a bespoke entrance step) which really make a big difference to the overall look. We would definitely recommend Ian and have no hesitation in using his services again.

Ian came and put some shelves up for me and also vented my tumble dryer through an exterior wall. All jobs were done perfectly and to a high standard and all mess was cleared up. Ian was very professional and I felt the jobs were safe in his hands. 10/10 would recommend.

Ian quoted a project, allowing 2-days to complete the work, which included tiling a small area of my kitchen between the cupboards and worktop, and fitting an MDF pantry door. Unfortunately, not great. The work was not concluded within the original timeframe provided. On conclusion of day two Ian requested details to present his invoice, I then contacted Ian to say I would only pay his invoice on completion of the project, and I questioned productivity on the second day, as the kitchen tiling was incomplete. Due to productivity to date, I decided to cancel the MDF door. I had also removed a small number of tiles after work was completed on day two, due to quality issues. Ian returned for a third day, (with a colleague). He was extremely annoyed I had questioned the original timeframe, and some aspects of work quality, things did not go well. After refitting the extractor fan (some damage to painted kitchen units) and further discussions to conclude the kitchen tiling, Ian left with his colleague without completing the project, albeit this is in question and Ian is presenting his colleague as a witness, to say he offered to complete the works. I live alone and felt intimidated when raising my general concerns in relation to productivity and workmanship. I now need to try and resolve this issue and conclude the work in progress, which will be an additional cost to me. In addition, Ian commented he felt unwell during the 2-day work period, he had a horrendous cough which he put down to his asthma (I also have asthma) however, I then tested positive for covid, which could be entirely coincidental, albeit I have avoided covid to date as I'm unvaccinated due to a long-term health condition.
I now need to consider my options regarding concluding this project, not ideal to say the least.

With reference to a comment in relation to my initial review (with supporting images) from Anne Marie Bromley and the quality of work carried out by Ian, I'm please to hear you are happy with the work undertaken for your project. However, I'm now in a position of having to rectify the work carried out by Ian, as I've been left in a very difficult position. I paid the invoice presented for this work, over £600, albeit this included the purchase of some minor materials, however, I purchased the tiles, which now need to be removed, therefore, I will incurred additional costs. In addition, and in relation to Ian's response to your post ''It really means a lot a client understands and respects ...'' I find this remarkable, I so regret not seeking the services of a professional tiler to undertake my project.

I contacted Ian after seeing his advert in a local magazine. He has done several jobs including installing new utility units and decorating a conservatory. Ian is always friendly and approachable and his standard of work is excellent. He is totally honest and reliable. My dog adores him. Would not hesitate to recommend him.

Ian has done work for us in our kitchen replacing kitchen cupboard doors, fitting new kickboards and putting laminate on the sides of the kitchen cupboards. He also (without being asked) obtained a fresh filter for the extractor fan and fitted it. It proved not to be the easiest of jobs and some of the cupboard doors that arrived were damaged and had to be returned to the supplier and so there was a wait for the replacements. Ian chased the supplier and made sure that supplying the replacements was dealt with as quickly as possible. The work done was extremely professional and to a high standard. In fact having just read Liza Yorke's review I find it difficult to believe that we are talking about the same person. Throughout our whole interaction with Ian we have found him professional, competent and very friendly. I will definitely have him back for any future jobs and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to friends and family.

I first met Ian when he came round at a moment's notice to unlock my downstairs toilet door, this had locked itself never to be opened again, luckily I was on the outside when this happened or we would have been singing that well known song "1 old gentleman got stuck in the lavatory" . After looking at that door and the bathroom door we agreed that in view of their age (53 years old) and their condition they should be replaced. Ian ordered everything needed and came and replaced both doors and replaced a leaking tap in the bathroom for me. I was so pleased with the work carried out and the price that I asked Ian to replace the very ancient and battered work surface in the kitchen. Again Ian obtained all the materials needed and came and did the work for me. My kitchen has never looked so good!! I have found Ian to be an extremely professional and competent workman. Everything was done with the minimum of disturbance and mess, Ian made sure everything was left clean and tidy which was very important to me as I have extremely poor eyesight. Ian was friendly, professional and I felt extremely trustworthy and I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone. I will always use Ian going forward for any jobs I might need doing.

Needed slabs laying to create path on front garden, noticed ad in Keyworth local news made contact arrived promptly happy and comfortable with advice and price. Job booked and carried out with no fuss very pleased with result and excellent quality of work. Will use again.
