The starters were lovely, there was enough for 3. The mains were disappointing, the burger had way too much garlic mayo and had to be scrapped off. The ribs were pretty tough and hard to chew, certainly didn’t fall off the bone and the lamb chops were tough also. The chips were nice.
There was a full blown argument between the guy behind the bar and with two girl staff sat at a table. I thought it was slightly overpriced at £100 for 3 people. We sat next to the bar, the phone rang twice and was right next to my head, very loud.

I do recommend the place, however the service was not the best. We had food served but no plates (we had sharing platter). By the time we got plates, the grilled meat started to cool down and toughen up. So it became chewy. Things like menu, drinks, etc, everything took time. I think they may need more staff. But in general it's a nice place. It was my birthday and we ordered a big sharing platter for 145. That was enough for 5 people and 2 kids. Had some drinks separately. Also to bear in mind, majority of dishes are spicy. The place has a lot of parking and separate room with pool and TV.

I visited this place for the first time since the renovation on Saturday and we were warmly welcomed on arrival. I was extremely impressed with the decor and ambiance of the restaurant, which fitted nicely with the African theme. The food was scrumptious, and beautifully presented. We did not have to wait for longer than normal, and staff serving us (Maya and Lollie) were attentive and well mannered - fantastic. We will certainly be visiting again and cannot recommend this place enough if you are looking for an authentic African experience.

Unfortunately a very poor visit today, even more so given it was a birthday meal.

Arrived on time, table wasn't ready despite the relatively empty premises. We were seated in the outdoor extension which was very cold. Gave this the benefit of the doubt as there were two gas heaters, but these didn't work consistently so we sat in our coats for the full 2+ hours. Staff were informed twice about the gas heaters not working, eventually we were told they were out of gas and someone needed to drive across town to get another canister.

Food took an exceptionally long time, well over 90 minutes, with all mains arriving in a staggered manner, several minutes apart. Not sure why this was the case as we had actually put in a pre-order the day before at the request of the restaurant. That seemed a bit redundant? One meal (for a child), was forgotten and came out last, at which point several guests had finished. This is a real shame, as the food itself was very nice.

Given all of the above, I was expecting a hefty discount to our meal. We were told that drinks had been removed from the bill (most of which were soft drinks), which I do not feel was satisfactory. Starters were also eventually removed from the bill following a conversation with the very disgruntled manager on shift.

After hearing about this great South African restaurant we visited last night to watch a rugby game and have a meal. Lovely venue. Service shocking. Reminded waitress twice about a biltong starter ordered. Took 40 minutes to deliver. Staff were not run off their feet and stood chatting and not attending to serving tables. Food tasty (4 of us had Bunny Chows) but lacked sauce. Not sure whether we will return.
