If you're looking for an actual castle to visit, then you will be disappointed! Sadly, there is nothing left of the castle itself, which is a real shame as it was certainly a very historical site. However, the main walls are now marked with flower beds and there is a lovely grassy mound which is a nice spot to sit at, with a small play area for the kids next to it. Queenborough train station is next to the castle site and you can also walk through the town to look at some of the other buildings and the harbour, though it is undoubtably more enjoyable when it isn't windy and rainy!

Great to see this location being kept. Lots of history behind this location. Shame about the graffiti.

A grassed park marks the site of this 14th century castle, otherwise known as Sheppey Castle, which was completely demolished in the 16th century. The site has seen much activity in the intervening centuries, as a Time Team investigation in 2005 proved, and there's very much nothing to see. The well in the centre is capped with a large expanse of concrete paving.
