Was asked to come in here for some random reason. I requested to close my claim months ago due to myself being a student and working yet they failed to look at the journal messages I sent to close the claim.

When I attented, the security in this place is appauling. I just walked in and sat down straight away and when by the time I went to a staff member saying my appointment was 20 minutes ago they said I should've gone to a desk that looks like every other office desk.

By the time I started my appointment, they said yep we shouldve closed it but now you owe us money for not closing it. Excuse me? I work now and I'm pretty sure I've had no payments made to me by them and they're demanding money from me now? I asked them for a written reason and they said that I will have to wait and see.

Shame nothing much can be done because its government run

Well, our experience with this place wasn't as poor as other reviewers'. I wasn't the service user but I accompanied a family member to here for dealing with the NI number application.
Didn't know how other services were but the one my family member used was really prompt and without any problems. Staff members handling the matter were kind and friendly. Location is convenient and within walking distance from Preston train station, a positive as we aren't from around the city.

Had a meeting with a so called work coach named Imran at the rear of the Fishergate centre site in Preston. We found him really dishonest from start to finish. Despite overwhelming evidence gathered over years of self employment & thousands of hours in a self employed business from our premises doing business in many parts of the world. This sorry young man in a baseless message stated I had not been "gainfully self employed" I literally could not possibly be more Gainful in my self employment. No doubt it's a fraudulent & perhaps "cultured" dishonest way of ultimately defrauding his service users. So glad I recorded our meeting as always with DWP staff! To avoid lack of proof
Make sure you always do the same folks!

Appalling service takes the mick for them to do anything refused to give my epileptic husband the care component on P.I.P eventhough a medical professional advised them he needed it basically got the answer hes not disabled enough pathetic need to stop thinking everyone is lying. Staff are almost all arrogant, stuck up and think they are better than you. Need to treat people with respect.

Shocking. I'm sure there are people in there that actually love to help others. But some definitely adopt a superiority complex when their customers have an issue. I get that some customers in there can also be a pain. But from my experience some of the people working there lack the ability to seek knowledge, and by doing so lack the ability to help others. Accept responsibility for your own faults guys, and try harder. Bring yourselves down a level or 2.

Well, it sounds like I'm very much in the minority, reading other reviews. I found them extremely helpful, curtious, and above all positively enthusiastic in helping, deal with any concerns I may have...sorry I think you other people have been visiting a jobcentre in outer Mongolia, because a fair representation of the staff in preston is overwhelmingly helpful

Don't get a disability because the rude staff have no idea how to deal with you. The phone numbers they dish out aren't the number you need . And as I have a disability I'm still waiting to hear anything about my claim that started in May, its now August.
I'm feeling like no one cares .
