I had a terrible experience staying at Premier Inn. The main issue was with the restaurant staff, who were clearly understaffed. They did not have enough cooks, which meant extremely slow service and long waits for food. This lack of efficiency ruined the dining experience and made the stay frustrating. Definitely not what I expected from a brand like Premier Inn.

The restaurant was a complete disappointment. They had very limited vegetarian food options, and when I finally ordered a vegetarian dish, they came back after a few minutes to say they didn’t have any available. It was frustrating and unacceptable, especially since I paid £3000 for a one-month stay.

One day, they closed the kitchen entirely, citing a fire issue, but there was no clear explanation or compensation for the meals I had already paid for. On another occasion, they flat out told me they didn’t have enough space to book me a dinner table, nor enough cooks to prepare food. The lack of organization and service made me feel like I’d wasted my money. I wouldn’t recommend Premier Inn based on this experience.

This hotel needs an upgrade asap. The parking tablet for free parking was broken on arrival. Very slow checking in as only one staff member on the desk and lots of arrivals for the carnival. Room quite tired and dusty in areas. Toilet seat was broken and window was completely broken and wouldn't close so had to get a staff member to help shut it. We then couldn't open it and there was no air con or centrally controlled heating from the thermostat unlike all other premier inns I've used. Had a fire alarm on Saturday morning so got evacuated in our nightclothes. This was handled very efficiently by staff and the fire brigade attended quickly. Seemed to have been a false alarm but no mention as to why. Staff were friendly and helpful, but were very negative about their jobs it seems- lots of huffing and puffing and during roll call on the fire evac the staff member said "I hate my job sometimes". They all seemed demoralized and defeated which was sad as they were all great. Think management need to invest here and bring the rooms and cleanliness up to scratch as the staff will be able to take a bit more pride in what they're doing. Great location for the carnival and a useful place to rest a tired head- but not somewhere you'd like to stay more than a night or two!

I stay in loads of different premier inn’s across the country and this is by far the worst. Room had not even been cleaned, bed was a mess and was greeted with a half eaten kebab from the person before me😂. Female restaurant staff were lovely, however the guy in there 5/12/24 evening was soo rude and loud. Basically shouting at people if they hadn’t booked, like it was the end of the world. Even if every other hotel in the area is booked up, I’m sleeping in the van next time.

Popped into the Premier inn restaurant on Bristol Road last Friday for breakfast with my wife. We hadn't stayed overnight, the place was empty and we were very quickly refused breakfast and shown the door.Probably just as well as with the lack of customers it was going to be dried up and disappointing anyway.Never going in a Premier Inn again!!!!!

One of the worst Premier Inn’s I have stayed in, no one on reception to check you in, I rung the bell several times waiting to get checked in and after 15 minutes of waiting someone turned up with no apology and completely uninterested in working there. Forget about the WIFI signal as it doesn’t work, I had to pay £5 to upgrade and it’s still ultra slow. The rooms are dated unlike most other hotels, the price for 1 night was £89 which considering the area and catering was sickening. Don’t even bother eating at the Premier Inn owned restaurant next door, it was cold inside, food was absolutely disgusting and the staff were kids who had no idea about customer service or how to pour a pint. I won’t be staying here again, the Premier Inn chain should be ashamed and this hotel in particular seriously needs a change in everything.

Went to the restaurant next door at 9 pm after working a 12-hour shift to be told they stop food at 9 pm, ok.
The next day managed to get there at 7.30 pm to be told they had no tables until 9?. When I mentioned the kitchen closes at 9 the lady told me the last booking is at 9.45 pm. As you can imagine I wasn't to happy.

Shocking service from the restaurant staff. Place was closed for a refurbished but said it was open to guests for breakfast, dinner & drinks. When we arrived we went for a drink to be told it doesn't open till 6pm, this was fine so went to enjoy the carnival then returned to the restaurant at 9pm for something to eat. It said on the door open till 9:45pm so we had 45 minutes left of service. It wasn't busy only a few people in there. As we walked in the 3 staff members called time We asked if they were serving food, no we don't do food only drinks, thought this bit strange so just ordered drinks then went to sit down and Google somewhere else to eat. They called time again 20 minutes later, the few people in there started to leave which left me & my partner in there. The next minute one of the staff members came over and asked if we wanted our drinks They were still full They were rushing us out the door so they could go home, not only were they not providing the service they were meant too for guests but were very unwelcoming and rude. We ended up leaving the drinks and having to drive to mcdonalds to get something to eat, so I will not be staying at this premier in again!!

The worst premier inn we have stayed in. The only reason I'm giving 1 star for service is the young girl on reception on arrival. We were allocated a room on the top floor, furthest away from reception. No lift and hubby has COPD. The young girl at reception allocated us another room on the ground floor. The room needed a deep clean and a lick of fresh paint. The room carpet as with the corridor carpet was dirty and stains apparent. Breakfast was the worst we've had, Returned to our room after breakfast on our last morning and the card was not working to unlock our room. It had been disabled! This has never happened before and used premier inns a lot. Staff not very friendly.
On the plus side it's conveniently situated to the M5. However, is noisy with traffic including wagons using the service station next door.
Premier Inn I'm afraid you're standards have slipped. You need to close this one down to give it a complete upgrade and send the staff on a hospitality course.
