I have been in the cafe quite a lot and bought mainly drinks i e. milkshakes, lattes etc. I did try cheese on toast which tasted a bit strange. I think they use vegan cheese.

I always asked for one shot on my latte and they never got the order right and always made it very strong despite keep emphasing I wanted it weak. They are also incredibly slow at getting order to you even if they are empty. However the worst thing was when I applied to be a volunteer at the cafe. The process is so overcomplicated and stringent it is like applying for head of MI5. Completed a book which serves as an application form. Enhanced DBS, references etc which is potentially an illegal check as you are not working directly with vulnerable people just serving drinks or cleaning up. However I did all of that only to be told that I was "unsuitable" to be a volunteer after it taking over a year of time applying. Not because of DBS but because I am a disabled person who has attend hospital and needs to be flexible with times I would volunteer.

They told me that "not everyone's is suitable to be a volunteer. I made me feel worthless and depressed. Especially as I am autistic myself and have multiple disabilities and they are working with autistic people. They were telling me I wasn't good enough and it affected my confidence and made feel there was something wrong with me.

They offered to " signpost" me to other organisations, rather than come to their cafe. After all those months of work applying to be a volunteer. They made it clear I wasn't welcome to go in the cafe either as a customer I was only going there as there is literally no other cafes in Radcliffe as all shut down where you can sit outside and have a drink. There is nothing in this town and now I am confined to the house. So I would say it is not welcoming and not inclusive. I was told not to come because they feel I am not suitable because of my disabilities and that I wouldn't fit in.

This is a lovely cafe, lovely and clean nice decor, excellent coffee and cakes, and the most wonderful staff. Always smiling, polite and helpful. A very pleasurable experience. And doesn’t cost a fortune. Can thoroughly recommend, only downside it’s not open often enough.
