When I lived in Northampton I needed help desperately because of what I was going through with my now ex husband.
Nobody helped me because there was no children involved, (we never had any children) and because he wasn't actually physically violent.
What was I supposed to do? I ended up homeless and even Citizens Advice said it was "too deep" for them. I got no help from the council either because I had no children!! What was I supposed to do? I still don't understand it to this day.

Unfortunately I experienced 2 awful people who I was trying to seek help from. The first night I called in a lady answered the phone sounding heavily drugged or drunk and answered saying ‘who the hell is this’ so I hung up shocked…the next morning I went to call again and a lady tried to justify her behaviour by saying she was probably tired and snappy as it was late. This lady also told me she would call me back as she had ‘another call’ knowing full well I was heavily distressed. Really disappointed ? I won’t be recommending these to anybody.
