The new telephone answering service is appalling . Before the council amalgamation you spoke to a person directly . Now it's a computer that fails to understand when you give the answer for a location We pay all this tax and are assured the service will be better This matter needs addressing. that is if anyone from the council actually read there reviews which I doubt by the lack of responses ..

The staff were excellent and very helpful.
We were very impressed.
The building is bright clean and roomy.
Car parking on site.

My father passed away ten weeks ago and i have been trying to get the depoit back on his flat ever since. Keys were handed back and told full refund would be returned. Touchstone dont answer the phone or return calls. Im now opening a dispute and considering court action against them. Id give no stars if possable.

Just had to reapply for a blue badge for my mother as the old one is now out of date.
I was told that due to changes I now had to reapply as if it were for a new application. I did so, expecting a long process, but was pleasantly surprised at the ease of use of the site and how quickly the new badge got to her -under a week. It is not often you can say this to an administrative body, but well done.

An excellent service from across departments. Having recently moved from Sheffield to Romanby the gulf of difference between NYCC and SCC is vast. You have immediate access to services and decision makers are more readily available. Staff take ownership of the issues you present with a feeling that they genuinely care. I have nothing but praise for the services provided across all the departments I have dealt with - a true asset to the region.

Feel very let down with the service not as reliable as they used to be. Under staffed. Don't reply either
