Montrose Guest House - Minehead

Lovely guest house. We stayed for 4 nights in the superior double with a shower room. This room is on the front of a busy road but it didn't bother us. Very spacious and clean had everything we wanted with a good tea and coffee tray. Breakfast was really good, help yourself to cereals, yogurts juice jams and marmalade( loved the orange and ginger marmalade). There was a white board saying what you could have for your cooked breakfast. 1st 2 breakfasts we both had the full English, you can have what you want, we opted for the full works, which was a large breakfast, the next 2 my partner had the same but I wanted a change so I had poached eggs on toast which were perfect and our last morning I had a bacon sandwich. All the food was lovely, hot and well cooked. Andy's service was very attentive. Helen was very helpful with the recommending places for an evening meal, left us a helpful note in the room. Really lovely stay.

Lovely large bedroom with ensuite bathroom (classed as a "superior room"). Spotlessly clean with a mini fridge in room too. Amazing, extensive breakfast options, beautifully cooked, good quality food. Friendly host. Would definitely stay again.

We spent three nights at Andy and Helen's Guest House and it has been a wonderful experience.
Rooms are bright, spacious and the cleanest. Breakfast is tasty with delicious homemade jams and nice warm dishes.
Andy and Helen are warm and very kind people, always available that made us feel at home. The Guest House is located in a quiet street, five minutes away from the beach, Minehead's center and the railway/bus station.
What else than five stars could somenone give?
We will definitely come back!

Lovely guest house.Deluxe bedroom Rm 4 was lovely and big,with an extra blanket and pillow in the wardrobe and the ensuite bathroom was just was fully kitted out with shampoo , shower gel, shower cap, and soap dispener
The breakfast was amazing with homemade bread with full english breakfast. we were offered black pudding which we love.

We staid for three nights, lovely room with its own conservatory and all spotlessly clean. Breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly. Accommodation was close to the high street and see front. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Helen and Andy

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at The Montrose Guest house and what a lovely place it is, spotlessly clean in an ideal location for shops, sea front and restaurants. |The breakfasts were perfect, cooked just as you like it, with plenty of options plus cereals, fresh fruit and kippers (if you wanted) plus lovely homemade bread with jams and marmalade.|It is a small and very quiet guest house with lovely hosts. We stayed in the ground floor room which was ideal as we were there for a big family party so we had a couple of late nights and hopefully didn't disturb anybody on our return!.| The room was spacious with comfortable bed and lovely hot shower. It also has a separate sun room with TV and an outside court area overlooking the garden which must be ideal in the summer.|It was our first stay at The Montrose but hopefully not our last, many thanks for a wonderful couple of days.

Cannot praise this guest house enough. Immaculately clean, owners extremely helpful and friendly, superb breakfast , comfortable rooms, close to town and beach. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or visit again.
