I met Maria through a networking group and whilst chatting I explained I'm a Carpenter by trade and have worked in Construction my whole career and I'm now moving into an office based role, this requires me to manage people and for me, people management is the hardest part of the job as everyone's personalities and attitudes are completely different. Maria offered me some great advice and also made me aware of the online 'good practice HR workshop' that she runs. I found this to be very helpful and came away with a new outlook on people management and positive attitude to dealing with the varied personalities I come across in my new role.
