Not a surprise this company has a 2.8 rating. I used them to survey my drains. They only surveyed one of them and told me the others didn’t need looking at of which there are 3 others plus a shard drain I have with my neighbour. Were at my property for only 20 minutes. The engineer was very nice and told me he could help me with another issue I had as the company had another department that could help me and he would write it down as part of his survey. That never happened. One of the pictures on the report I received was not even my house.

When I spoke to the office staff about coming back they said they would speak to the engineer and get back to me. I heard nothing for a few days so called them back as I was very keen to get the work done. I was told they couldn’t get hold of him because he was on night shift and that they would again get back to me. That never happened which was around a month ago. They were happy to help get me booked in when I was paying them £420 for a drain survey but not helpful at all when I called them about my other issue. I’ve since got another company in to look at my drains who charged me half the price but again didn’t do the best job so I’m back where I started and looking for my third drain company to attend my house. Sick of getting messed around by workmen and companies who charge a fortune for very little or poor work. Nightmare process. Wouldn’t recommend using this company.

I would highly recommend this company. I would like to mention the young man Josh F, that spent over two and a half hours clearing blocked manholes at my property. He was very thorough and offered some real good advice. This chap is totally dedicated to his job. If there are other staff like him the company would no doubt be WHICH recommended

Very poor service - Constant excuses for why they cannot attend - From Covid to stomach ulcers of engineers which means appointments cancelled at short notice and without explanation other than "Covid". Head office escalation results in no acknowledgement. Insisted on sending a two man team for some reason as well

Had a better experience with local drainage company who cleared the blockage with one man quickly and with a smile

Commissioned a relatively significant piece of survey work for a commercial development- so several thousands of pounds worth of works. It's been over a month since the survey was completed and I can't get any information at all from the company. Calls and emails either don't get answered or I get passed between people until I hit an answer machine. Terrible service.

Post review note: I had to email the board of directors directly before I got any sort of response. Communication was poor throughout, verging on rude at points. Turned out the site team had not completed the works and had to go back to site, causing more delays. Would not use again.

I have my home emergency cover with Lloyds who see fit to employ this company. The issue I have is a drain overflowing into the utility room. Lanes for Drains cancelled their first engineer due between 2.30 and 4.30 as they apparently went home sick. Rebooked for between 7 and 9 this evening. No engineer appeared and they simply told Lloyds that they were no longer coming when I called. No explanation. Appalling!

We had a drain blockage at home during the evening on Fathers Day whilst the family were here and were unable to flush the toilet. Lanes came out and cleared the blockage in no time at all. A really nice, polite and helpful chap couldn't have done more. Excellent service.

This company gave been called to Mill Lane High Ongar to clear manholes that have been blocked and have failed to succeed on 2 calls. This job needs Thames Water to sort out the recurring blockages

Just been on the phone to this company and dealt with Sadia... customer agent... gosh i wonder why rude people take on public facing jobs.. from the start of the call Sadia was abrupt... once i told her i was going to leave a reveiw and i explained to her that her customer service approach was unprofessional she realwanted to change her tone of voice but ot was too late... the engineer did his job so well.. its a shame Sadia has given the company a bad name.
