Booked this site last minute to break up the journey south. Carol who manages the site was extremely helpful and friendly. Our pitch was perfectly flat which is always a blessing. The area was surrounded by trees with squirrels and rabbits playing around. We loved this site.

Lovely cosy campsite. Friendly staff. We stayed here for 3 nights. Only downside was after night one we asked to move as the quiet idyllic site was actually music till gone 1am with an artist providing their own concert with nice strobe flashing lights! but unfortunately due to the consumption of alcohol their vocals weren't to their highest standards and we didn't fancy a second visit to the concert next door so we moved. The second spot was lovely, families surrounded us, very friendly people all stopping for a chat, well behaved and polite children and all quiet by 10pm 🙂
Facilities on site - there is one toilet block which gets closed for cleaning. The showers do not stay on unless you hold the button which makes hair washing tricky ? tried using the sinks but the hot water only comes out if the cold tap is on too, another downside as the cold water comes out so fast, my nice dry clothes became wet as if I'd been on a log flume, so a nice cold hair wash but I could use the hairdryer to warm my head up after.
This is a great location for lots of different things. There's the Gruffalo trail, stickman trail, the secret bunker, farms and much more. On site there's a nice small dog walking area and a little play area for the kids. There is a shop on site but we didn't go in so can't comment about what's on offer.

Took my caravan it is a fabulous place, the staff are really helpful and friendly.would definitely recommend....lovely grounds to walk around and a little shop to get essentials.

We arrived at this beautiful campsite and got a warm welcome from Tony. He explained everything to us. The facilities are new and very clean my only negative is that they have the window open all day long so when you have a shower it's really cold in there and the heating is turned off. There is loads to do around this area. We went to London for the day which was amazing kids under 10 travel for free. Old Mcdonald farm was great with a Easter egg hunt. Loads of places to eat. This site is a little hidden gem it feels really rural even though your in Essex. Thank you to Tony especially for helping me with going to London and making our stay as smooth as possible as we should have been at Horsley campsite but it got cancelled due to flooding. So pleased to have visited this site will definitely be returning.

Stayed here several times, very clean toilets but the water in the showers are FAR TOO HOT. The grass is kept short
