A moment ago, 19/12 13:30,, I wanted to top up a little ad-blue to the HGV I drive. I needed to pay with my private card. I can barely understand the policy, on why HGV drivers needs to leave their fuelcards before they start with refuelling diesel, but not why refuelling adblue. Was told that at the till, that I need to leave my private card with the cashier. Was told that I can't pay in cash, and that I either will leave my private card with him, or won't be able to buy any ad-blue whatsover. I really needed some, so bought a 10 litre can for £35. 1 litre ad-blue, as I look at it next to me, is £1.7. I overpaid twice., because welcome break policy is to forbid HGV drivers from paying in cash, forcing them to leave the private bank cards with them, for welcome break employees to do whatever they please with them. Was told by the cashier that there is no reason for me not to trust him.... was also told that there is no way for me to leave any feedback. Well, there is one, I left some now.

Good variation of shops and food outlets. Toilets were a little dated but if seen worse. Exit not well signed posted

Just had the unfortunate experience of visiting Keele services. Dreadful place, a Saturday afternoon, very busy, dogs everywhere, outside area was so scruffy we didn’t bother, 4 small coffees from Starbucks to take away £16. Don’t bother, dreadful coffee, we tipped away. To top it all the young guys/boys in fancy toys, didn’t bother going to the loos, they just stood and urinated in the car park. Gloucester services, you need to take this over and get this place pulled down . I will never stop here again. Dreadful place, attracting dreadful people. No thanks

The good thing about this services is that there is a Waitrose here which is at least a bit healthier than the other junk food factories that you normally get at services. Be good if this places started taking a bit of responsibility and offer healthy options rather than playing their part to kill off the planet and cause obesity! Obviously coffee is massively overpriced as normal but there you go.

I think these are the worst showers in UK, one of the male showers doesn’t have hot or warm water, and the other one goes 3 seconds every push but too small sprinkle. And also the women shower has too small jet of water.

Visited 23:30. No food whatsoever except chocolate and doughnuts from WH Smith. Nothing open - Waitrose, KFC, BK, Starbucks etc all closed. No lift to the upper floor where the closed food vendors are located. Car park is absolutely wrecked… pot holes doesn’t cover it. Unless you’ve brining a packed lunch and visiting in the Mars Rover, with spare tyres, don’t come here. Whole thing needs pulling down but the least they can do is open one pitiful vendor from what they do have. Abysmal. I might have to go back on antidepressants when I get home.

Atrocious. The burger King is an absolute scam, the burgers are microscopic. 7.99 for a little bread and two small beef Patty in my stomach. I can get the same amount of nutrition for less than 3 pounds anywhere.

Just had the unfortunate experience of stopping at these services. The staff in subway were absolutely diabolical and didn't seem to have a clue how to prepare a toaster wrap. Gave them to us cold without heating them at all then rolled their eyes when we asked for them to be heated. Fillings were ridiculously rationed & the girls on shift genuinely didn't seem to have a clue. Waitrose overpriced and cash only, Starbucks provided a Frappuccino with no ice. Very poor choice for a "welcome break", prices, quality and customer service at all establishments inside were extremely poor. Save yourself the hassle, and skip this service station
