I had the misfortune of asking In Control to come to do some Control4 programming.

They were slow to respond and were hard work in getting them to commit to appointments.

Eventually they sub contracted the job, but their sub contractor arrived late having gone to the wrong address 2 hrs away, so not only did they start late, they the engineer left early. I had already paid for a days work and i agreed with engineer that they would complete the outstanding work remotely.

I asked In Control to return and complete the outstanding work and to add some new features which i had explained to the sub contractor who agreed that all was easily achievable.

In Contol advised that all my controllers were sub-standard and needed to be upgraded at a substantial cost. They also wanted to charge me for a visit to review their own quote ignoring the fact their subcontractor had already done this during the half day they were here (having paid for a full day).

In Control never completed the outstanding programminag nor did they refund me the half day they still owe me.

I would not trust this company; they are not credible. Thet are disorganised, unrelaiable and overcharfge and under deliver. There is clear evidence that they will seek to widen the scope / milk the job and convince you to pay for more that what is a) needed and b) what I, the customer wanted.

In Feb 2023, I asked In Control to refund me £225 for the time not worked but was paid for - that being half a days labour plus VAT.

Needless to say they ignored me.

This is my genuine experience and is issued without bias.
