What fantastic service! My son's car had a failed jet as we arrived in the Lake District from the Midlands. We were extremely fortunate to find Andrew who checked the car over there and then. Andrew fitted our car in the following day and gave us a car for the day so that we didn't have to cancel our organised trip. A brilliant guy! Thankyou so much! Excellent service and has to be the most inexpensive in Millom. Came to collect car, repaired it on the day which was a day earlier than anticipated and also dropped it off at my house again. Will get any future work required on my car.

We were in the area on holiday.

Due to a miscalculation on my part I found myself in the Lake District with my MoT due to expire the following day and my normal garage back in my home town fully booked.

Quite by accident I spotted Ian Hudson & Co. Ltd.

The area the garage is located in looks a little disheveled - almost like the film set for a post-apocalyptic blockbuster, surrounded as it is by ruined tumbledown buildings and the dead and dying hulks of what were once someone's motoring pride and joy but the gentleman (Andrew Jackson) who runs the garage is a genuine diamond.

Literally, a diamond in the rough.

Andrew arranged for us to return in 30 minutes, whereupon he administered a thorough and comprehensive check of my vehicle and issued a fresh MoT.

I was very grateful to him for fitting us in - we are not his usual customers and indeed I had never been to Millom before.

Service of this nature is a rare commodity.
