I was originally going to give this review 2 stars due to my initial anger and frustration. I was completely flabbergasted when my last energy bill came in at whopping £215. I don’t know how they can get away with such a steep jump in fees within such a short amount of time. It wasn’t that long ago when £80 was easily enough for me to run my industrial sized dishwasher 24/7 without a care in the world. Not that I had that much washing up to clean mind you, I just really liked the low bass drone that would rattle through the house. It’d even help me sleep at night. Lying there with my face tightened into a crunched ball of fleshy anguish that would slowly dissolve into a beautiful slumber, as the frequency of the dishwasher would gently yet thoroughly vibrate through my bones, cleansing my skull from all my deepest and darkest thoughts. Much like how it would breakdown the excess food matter left to dry on the crockery that lied within its wonderful mechanical gut.

But then I remembered that EDF aren’t even my energy suppliers, and even if they were this is a nuclear reactor which sadly I don’t have a direct line with to my house nor dishwasher. One can wish though.

I was having my house renovated and had the gas turned off. When the bill arrived, the bill
Had been calculated on an estimate. I provided them with accurate meter readings, but no change was made to my bill. I ended up having to pay £91 over what I should have paid. I queried this and was sent a second bill, but this bill only took account of the reading I had taken from the electricity reading. I was charged an additional £4. I sent pictures of the meter readings in and I was told that an amended bill would be provided within a week. Three weeks later my EDF app is saying that I am £134 in debit. I have still not used any gas and the electricity is used sparingly as I am only in the house during the day to paint the walls and work in the garden, neither of which tasks involve using electricity.

Tried to sorting out a bill from previous owner that had been left due to lockdown. After several phone calls and no success and waiting for email they were meant to be sending me, suddenly my bill is being referred to debt collections. I try ringing again and again and again and get connected to an India call centre with the worst phone line imaginable, a bake bean can on a string would have been more use. Constantly get cut off as well after explaining the situation for 5mins. Also 0 reply to emails as well. But not matter the company that turns over £8billion is in desperate need of this £80 bill that they have no evidence for and are happy to send it to collections... DO NOT GO WITH THESE MUGS, also much cheaper and better energy companies are available!

Absolutely disgusting customer service. Inadequate trained staff, leave you on hold for over an hour just to settle a balance and close an account. Would not recommend at all. Not to mention being cut off 4 times whilst on hold.

I left EDF in November 2020, I am still waiting for the credit THEY say they owe me. They have waffled, repeatedly asked for the same information, sent emails daily and generally tried to wear me down, do not use
