I can finally leave a review without being threatened by this school. I was locked in a room by student welfare after forcibly being taken to my doctor in a cab alone with the welfare woman Miss M without parental permission for an anxiety attack whilst she shouted about be calling every name under the sun. My friend was threatened with a knife and he was kicked out not the kid with the knife. Welfare DO make friends with the bad kids and defend them. If i was here any longer i wouldnt be here. 26+ teachers leave every year. Most of the teachers arent even quallified for what they teach but thet wont admit it. They cant deal with bullying i had my stuff smashed and stolen without reimbursement. Most of the students are high 24/7 or drunk because they cant deal with being there. I have on going mental health and bad ptsd from this school. I have constant panic attacks in classroom environments since because of my experience here i have since had to leave college for being sent home so many times for panicing and anxiety over this. Medical problems arent a good enough excuse for being unable to do something and a girls menstrual cycle isnt acceptable and they told girls to go on pills to stop it so that they didnt have to leave class. Theyre extremely homophobic. Teachers get followed in the street. My art teacher Mr Cou.. refused me work and supplies for my exam and told me id be roamed if i left the cupboard room. My friends science teacher Mr Cad told her ways to kill herself when he saw her self harm. My last review was removed. When it was snowing kids had their coats taken away for then not being black coats. Getting food isnt possible. Lgbt isnt accepted in any way here. I was moved out of my art classroom for being gay because there was another gay student i sat next to. This school cares about its statistics than its students. I feel sorry for anyone who goes here. girls are taught to fear boys and think theyre sexual objects because if they dress a certain way boys might look at them or see it as an invite for sexual assault. THIS IS WRONG. The school will hault any oppotunites to go to better schools and theyll deny knowing about transfer forms. Children who go here will have limited opportunities and paths in life because of the level of teaching. Harris can build schools but they cant provide sufficient money or upkeep. The cleaners and some students had to eat in the toilets because they werent given places to eat or the canteen was too full of year 7s. I dont miss here. I wish i never went. I know many kids who went to other harris schools who have simmilar stories. Harris schools need to be looked into and students interviewed about issues. They couldnt afford a councillor and the welfare team didnt care about anything. Mental health sufferers are treated the same as the bad children except the bad kids were taken on trips and outings. Im happy for the teachers who left and got better jobs. I know teachers who wanted to work in aldi if it meant leaving harris. So thank you harris for my mental health worsening i blame you for everything 5 years was enough time for you to mess me up ngl im kinda shocked im still alive but then again you know all about that and done nothing to help me.
Ps - I told parents the truth about the school on open evenings and told them to pick the other schools theyd looked at.

Really disappointed with the staff at Harris. I'm an ex student who has been trying to get help from someone for more than 3 weeks and no one and help me. I was sent to the work teachers to help me, then calls that aren't being picked up. There's no point of giving your details after the tone haha.
I time I called student services and was told that I was going to be transfered to someone with more experience. That person picked up for a second and ended the call. In that second, she said "oh and then you hung up."

I'm in Secondary rn lol.
School isn't bad but the strictness of our uniform is ridiculous. You have to wear a certain earring in class and certain socks for pe.

Unfortunately the school does
not have resources for SEN and children with EHCPs. They are excluded/referred for disability related behaviors.Advised within a month school is not suitable!!Nan
