Disappointing for a first time buyer as having to chase to find out how my sale is going. Another message left and no response.

I was very nervous about dealing with a Solicitor, having had recent vendors Solicitors lie and not do any work on the chain, which made me pull out.

I made an offer on my dream home, on the proviso that it was a quick sale. And Ben Stones and Miriam Wall did it within the time frame needed. So I am now a home owner again and over the moon.

Update; Disappointed that when I got in touch re neighbours encouraging seagulls, by feeding them, (that are becoming aggressive, attacking small birds, damaging homes and cars and we also have rats now) that Ben compared a seagulls SCREECH to the dawn chorus! I adore the dawn chorus and there is no comparison. FFS.

Originally went and see them for around 20 minutes and provided some paperwork & was charged £550.00, after this was paid we struggled to get into contact with them. After long last we finally received a response saying we still owed more on the invoice unsure how but that was fine, explained that we had received a high court letter and dropped it off, had no response, contacted the Receptionist on 2 separate occasions and asked for Alan to call and had no response, sent 2 emails and had no response. We then had the high court bailiffs turn up threatening to removed goods so we had to pay £9,000 there and then. Then we finally received a response a few hours later saying that we didn’t provide them with a county court ( we most definitely did as this is the reason we contact them ) then said they hadn’t received any of our emails ( proof provided ), no response to the Receptionist being called twice aswell.

I would certainly think twice about using this company, I’d search for someone that is actually going to respond to emails and calls.

Awful communication, which is probably the most important element of this kind of service. Perhaps at one point in time they may have had a good reputation as we were initially recommended them by someone who had used them in the past but it’s certainly not the case now.

Take my advice. Use a different Solicitor. They are unprofessional, unresponsive and unhelpful. You are made to feel like an inconvenience. You constantly have to chase them for updates they never contact you first and you are left with no clue on whats going on. If could rate 0 stars i would of done, regrettably i have to give a star.
