A cute little countryside station which brings back memories of the Great British rail, back when it was great.

Lovely little countryside station well maintained with a beautiful 19th century Watertank. There is a information board on Haltwhistle and its history right in front of it. The trains go about every 30 minutes, but be aware that it can get crowded if you are bringing your bike (they are only supposed to have 2 per train).
The busses to Alston and Hadrian's Wall leave from right in front of the station. Lovely staff.

Well maintained and generally the schedule is accurate and the trains are on time. About 3 miles walking to Hadrian's Wall, though there is a faster and infinitely more scenic route along the river Burn.

The Haltwhistle railway station is closely located at the Hadrian wall and the river south tyne. Filled with beautiful green landscapes. Summer is the best time to visit.

A lovely traditional railway station with a historic footbridge and signal box. Steam trains including 60103 Flying Scotsman pass through from time to time.
