I was told about Fulcrum when I was desperately in need of assistance with new documentation and working practices for a new LA inspection unit. I telephoned them and I was contacted very quickly by one of their directors who set up a meeting to ascertain what we required. We were then able to amend their documents to our specific needs. Our contact was always available by phone or team so we were able to get advice immediately. She also liaised with the Local authority to ensure they were happy with our progress and supported us totally. I am very happy to say any issues we had have now been resolved.

We have decided to continue working with Fulcrum in the future so that we will ensure that we meet all the requirements for CQC under the new framework and will never again be in the situation we were. I am not a newbie. I have worked in care for 30+ years but have learned such a lot.

I cannot recommend Fulcrum too highly. They got me out of a very big hole!

Trish has bulk knowledge about care home operation and compliance. She has high standard capacity to make a home turnaround. She has understanding CQC requirements and how the home can work on correct measure. I am appreciate her support when the home was not good condition about all areas and CQC was knock the door. I am writing this as nominated individual along with the home’s registered manager. We have only positive experience from working with Fulcrum.
The staff was always available on the end of the phone or an email. They were professional knowledgable and supportive when communicating remotely or on site. They helped us initially to improve our rating and get out of special measures and supported us as we grew more confident.
The management and staff that we met were all kind and easy to work with.
We will always be thankful for their support.

Fulcrum Care were the consultancy company that were based within a care home during my time as a Deputy Manager. Having never worked with a consultant before I was unsure what to expect. Fulcrum Care sent in a consultant named Trish who had extensive knowledge and experience in the issues the home was experiencing. I always found Trish to be very approachable and patient with any queries I had, she worked closely with myself and the Home manager to devise and implement systems of working that worked for not only the home but the staff too, even when Trish wasn't working at the home she was always on the end of a phone should we need any guidance. Fulcrum Care always had the needs of our home at the heart of all the services, support and guidance they provided us with, always very professional polite and in my opinion went above and beyond for their client. Overall an excellent company.

We can not thank enough the support given by Fulcrum in guiding us to turnaround our Nursing Home. We took a risk in buying a Nursing a Home that had Required Improvement in the last two inspections.

Fulcrum gave us the confidence it’s possible to turnaround.

Fulcrum was involved in various aspects from day one. We did a comprehensive audit in the first week, and this was helpful in settings our strategy and priorities right from the start;

Fulcrum had been supporting us with various aspects over the years, trouble shooting areas of concern as well as ongoing service review. All of this helped to embed best practices and we can now see the results.

I commenced my employment as Home Manager in a 58 bed care home, with an history of poor management, por relationship with all external stakeholders and low morale with the staff and relatives.

On my first day at the Home I was introduced to Fulcrum Care to help and support me and the home through a difficult time. This was to ensure the home would be compliant and embedded new quality and compliance systems

On my second week I was introduced to Trish the consultant from Fulcrum who I would be working with. I never had worked with a consultant before and she was professional and put me at ease immediately. We came up with a plan of action of what systems needed to be improved and new systems that needed to be embedded. This was done by regular discussion with staff and having them involved in the changes.

The homes where rated Inadequate and this had to be drastically improved, upon the recent inspection the home came out with 4 Good and 1 Requires Improvement. Fulcrum had a very depth knowledge of CQC regulations and made sure I understood each Regulation and the impact on not meeting these regulations. I found Fulcrum so supportive and helped me grow as a Home Manager through mentoring.

Both me and Fulcrum worked on compiling Action Plans and seeing these completed in a timely manner, to which these were live documents and constantly evolved these. During my exposure with Fulcrum we attended numerous meetings with CQC and Local Authority, this helped with building positive relationships.

I have since moved onto another care setting and I would 100% recommend any care provider use the services of Fulcrum Care
