I would like to thank Maisie and the Team at Forever Green. We held our family wake here today. From the original contact with Maisie, to the organisation and planning, she has been a great help at this difficult time for the family. From the layout of the room, the food & drinks, to the music playing and access to additional seating, the staff have been wonderful & really helpful. The buffet was a high standard with lots available and plenty of it.
We would like to thank you all for your compassion during this sad time.

Save yourself the disappointment and book somewhere else .
Today I ordered a brunch meal for myself, when is arrived, It was obvious that the sausages were undercooked and I immediately cut one in half to check the filling, finding meat inside pink. I asked the waitress to return it to the kitchen. She returned shortly and I was then informed that the sausages were perfectly cooked. Again to me this was obviously not true as the skin of the sausages looked like they’d only been boiled rather than grilled or fried in any normal way. Perhaps they’ve been warmed up over a long period of time in an oven to get that just blanched look.
Rather than debate this at the table, I left the sausages on the side of my plate and ate rest of the meal which in itself was not too bad, although the large amount of oil, from the fried egg on the plate, was a little off putting.

When I went to pay, I pointed out that I was disappointed with my meal and was again reassured that the sausages were perfectly cooked. I disagree with this assessment paid for my meal and left. I won’t be visiting this restaurant again. Good luck if you’re booking an event there , it might be wise to give Imodium to your guests as a freebie.

I've been here a couple of times now in the past few weeks and have had something to eat and drink on each occasion.

Whilst the food has been good, the coffee leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered a latte on each occasion and was presented both times with a cup that was half liquid and half "froth". The milk hadn't been "textured" as such, it was what you tend to get when you put the steam wand into the milk pitcher and just leave it. Certainly room for improvement.

The locality can't be complained about though and it's an ideal stop off if walking in the surrounding woodland.

This restaurant is in a lovely setting in a small woodland copse down a small road, it is very peaceful here. The building is modern steel framed with high ceilings, huge picture windows and the tables afford great views of the woods. Everything internally is beautifully finished and high quality. There are interesting garden ornaments and many birds and squirrels.There is plenty of out door seating too. We went for mid week lunch and were greeted and seated very quickly. The food was very tasty and well presented, we ordered the beef stew. The downs were that it took us 10 minutes to get a waitresses attention as the 3 staff were busy, some cleaning and some chatting. The food was tasty but the veg were hard. I understand this is personal taste but for me it rather spoiled it. The beef was variable in the dish, some bits lovely and tender but 30% were tough. I had 2 large pieces of gristle that I had, in the end, to spit out. The Pepsi was flat, we did get a full refund for this though with no argument so just an observation. Would I recommend this place, absolutely, and I will go back. Just let down by a few small details and I suspect we were just a little unlucky. I believe there is also a meeting room and you can hire the entire venue for events. Parking was good.

What a lovely cafe/restaurant. Beautiful surroundings and fascinating watching the squirrels and other birds just outside the cafe/ restaurant. Very tastefully decorated inside with interesting art work on the wall. Staff are so nice and friendly and polite and you get served quickly. Pop in if your in the area

Enjoyed the atmosphere inside and loved looking outside, the squirrel and birds feeding. Food was delicious. Didn’t take too long. Served hot . The final bit was a bit lagging when we were ready to pay
Would go again and will recommend

We had our post wedding party here. The organiser (Maisie) helped the whole event go smoothly. It was a magical evening and the staff were brill. The food was incredible & good value for money. The place is beautiful. I can't say much more but a huge thanks.
