Leaving a one star review because of customer service alone. Regarding anyone that wants to hire a car from here make sure you check everything before driving away. They said this vehicle had no damage but I made them check with me and there was clear damage on the car even though brand new. They said the car was fully fuelled but I photographed it was missing a bar of fuel. And had to wait an hour over pickup time for the car as they were cleaning it get still dirty inside the car.

At the end of the day did I get a cheap price for to hire a brand new vehicle? Yes. But when all these other things happen it just means I’m never going to use you again and I’ll be using enterprise next time to hire a car in the UK.

I was in a desperate situation where my car was stolen and needed a car urgently for work. After ringing these guys in the morning i was able to get a car delivered that afternoon and collected in 2 weeks so it got me through till Christmas. It was the first time i had ever hired a car so was quite unsure of how it works but it was explained over phone and all sorted quite smoothly. I'll certainly recommend using these if you need to hire a vehicle, especially in an emergency.

I've had fairly good experience when renting a van from Europcar Purfleet. Had to wait good 25 mins before someone could attend to pick up the van. Staff was helpful at the end. Again when went to drop the van had to wait over half an hour before the only person dealing with customer got free. Wasn't really impressed

Poor service, vehicle was booked for 10am, turned up at 11:30am. Couldn't get through to the Purfleet office - spent 15 minutes waiting on phone, then gave up. The main reception said I would be called prior to delivery with an ETA. This didn't happen. Vehicle paperwork specified no damage. Clearly there was plenty...

I can only describe the service I've received from Europcar as perfect! Communication before I received the car was perfect. The delivery driver called me to say he was on the way at the time I would be at the dealership to collect the car. On arrival, he took me around the car, pointed out a very small dent on the drivers door and that it had been documented. He went through any interior fearures I needed to know about. I would give him 10/10.

If I could give zero I would. Was given a time for drop off of my car between 1-2 even got a text with reg saying they left at 1:15, purfleet is only 45 minutes away from here yet car arrived at 4ish, when it was time for pick up, I informed them at 10am that I no longer needed the car, they said pick up would be 1-6 that day, great! 6pm come, they told me it’s an 8 hr windows and they don’t collect after 6pm so I have to wait next day 8-11am, 11am come nothing, then got a text saying car will be collected 10-12, still nothing. Looks like I’ve got a new car cause you’re to incompetent to pick it up, good luck I’m out now for over a week with appointments due to a surgery I’m having so good luck picking up the keys with no one home!

If you want to rent a vehicle from them. They will run a credit check on you upon arrival; that if you fail, they won't be renting to you despite having a clean driving licence. They also do not state this clearly on their website where you make the booking. To avoid a wasted time, journey and possible taxi fare, avoid them if you are not sure of your credit rating. If I could give these lot a 0 star, I would. For a service that you will pay for upfront, what is the purpose/point of a credit check?
