Very impressed with Howard and his team. He succeeded in retrieving some data on some very old unusual floppy disks -- originally written on a Canon Cat Word Processor.
The disks would not read on a Windows PC due to their formatting, and the files had to be converted to text so they could be viewed and edited on modern computers.
Howard very kindly worked some magic and wondrously restored my work. I know he went the extra mile to do this and took some personal time and effort to pull off this feat. Thank you.

fantastic service from Howard and he got over 99% of my data back!! Seagate internal hard disk failed with 1000s of pictures, videos and documents. massive thumbs up and definitely 5 stars!! Obviously if you are searching for this type of service you are feeling stressed and in need of good advice. No hard sell from Howard and an honest appraisal. More expensive than some home recovery software options, but if you want a professional who understands the importance of your data, then i would highligly recommend! thanks

Lacie 2 Big Quadra (RAID 1) data recovery.
Howard (Apex Technology Ltd) recovered all the data and at a cost which was significantly less than any other organisation. He kept me updated on progress of the work through the bank holiday weekend. Recovered data was placed onto a new USB drive which he supplied at a very competitive price. Five star service. Great service! They performed data transfer from a DVD-RAM type 1 data that turned out to have a Fostex propietary filesystem. Pretty old stuff. Went the extra mile to get useable .wav files from it.

I'd award 10 *s if possible. Total professionalism. Howard had endless patience with both me and my job; it was not easy, and he solved multiple problems along the way. We had an old batch of Zip 100 drives. Not many companies can recover data from these. I rang a few companies and Apex came up a few times each time highly recommended. I dropped them a mail late one evening and got an instant reply. Everything I asked about had a clear and sensible answer. Howard was very responsive and gave a competitive quote too. Correspondence throughout was superb and our data was recovered to a more modern media format. Absolutely delighted with the service and very highly recommended.

Recently my Western Digital External Hard Drive ceased to connect to my Apple iMac. Although it would still attempt to power up, it would make an unusual noise and the usual light on the front would not illuminate. Up to now what had been a very reliable drive for many years was suddenly...and out of the blue...struggling to initialise and connect to my computer, nor any other computers I tried it with so I had no access at all to any of my data which was approx 2TB worth. Howard re-assured me that there was still a good chance that the data could be recovered. Although I was sceptical and feared the worst, Howard did manage to decrypt all the data on the broken drive and was able to hand me back 100% of my lost data on a brand new drive. Needless to say I was delighted! My recovered data appeared on the new drive just the way it was prior to the old drive breaking down. Throughout the whole process communication was excellent, Howard kept me very well informed on where things were at and was honest and re-assuring the whole time. He clearly understood the value of the data to me and genuinely wanted to successfully recover it for me. Howard offers a truly superb and professional service! I would recommend them to anybody who finds themselves in a similar situation to myself. From now on my backups will more regular but thanks to Data Recovery Services I didn't lose a thing.
