After attending the 2 week plus course, I came home with the guitar of my dreams. Using wood harvested from my family farm in Ohio, US; I was able to build on skills I already had and learn new methods I had only ever seen others use. Thanks to the great team of Sean, Dom, and James!

Bought a few things to refinish a spruce topped acoustic. Tried the spirit based stain and fretboard restorative and fretboard finish and cleaner and they did the job. The highlight is the High Build guitar finishing oil. Also enjoy Ben's YT videos.

Overall an enjoyable experience. Would I
Attend a course again?, Yes I would, however, 5 days for neck and body is intense, and I'd suggest anyone like me with little to no woodwork skills would benefit from a little hands on practice prior to enrolling. Staff seemed a bit stretched, and there were moments of downtime waiting around for teachers to be free. that said I was greatful to have had dom , james , sean and ricki to guide me through the process, everyone is really nice and same said for everyone else on a course at the time. Ive gained knowledge and skills to take away to get me started on my own. when I feel more confident I'd return one day , watch this space 😉

I have just taken delivery of some Vibrant Stunning Stains Oxblood for a telecaster project I am building at the moment, I did a test on a scrap piece of wood and it is a glo0rious colour, can't wait to use it, I am that happy with it that I am thinking of buying the Aquamarine in the same stain range, a nice sized bottle for a decent price

I bought crimson stunning stains shots to make my own stain for my guitar project by mixing them together in water. After trying to get a decent result without any clear instructions on the product (I followed YouTube tutorials) I applied the stain on the guitar but the result was horrible. The stains didn't mix well together (even after shaking them like crazy) and instead of having a kind of brown guitar I had the orange on top of the wood surface and the black deep in the wood grain. I waited for a day and sand my guitar down to get rid of this colour but the stains created a thick messy surface that was hard to sand because it was sticking to the sandpaper. After removing 1.5 millimeters of wood on each side of the guitar body (3mm in total) I had to remake the neck pocket and pickup cavities to match them with the new thickness of the guitar. I then bought a normal wood stain at my local store and the result was waaaay better. I then applied the crimson finish I bought but even after 24h drying the guitar was sticky and I had to clean it with lemon oil multiple times. I finally wrote a review of the stains shots on their website but they never published it. So don't trust their reviews because they are just selecting the good ones. Just go to your local store and buy a wood stain and a finish that seem decent to you, you'll be better off this way!

Great supplier if luthier supplies and tools. Not to mention a school for learning guitar building or even just buying a custom guitar.

I’ve bought their stains and they are great leaving my guitars with such a beautiful colour!

Took my first guitar build to Crimson to have the setup correctly done. Fantastic, it went from not bad to amazing. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them, everyone I met couldn't have been more helpful. Thanks Crimson, great job.
