It was so lovely to find this gem of a place today. So welcoming and very dog friendly too. We were in the area on a 'memory lane' visit and stumbled across this delightful tea room. We had a couple of slices of delicious carrot cake with a proper pot of tea to share. 'Summer' our Lab-retriever was treated to some slices of cucumber (Summer has allergies and was unable to eat the dog treats which were offered to her so the cucumber was a perfect treat for her).
Thank you so much for a very enjoyable visit, we can't wait for the next one.

Like the other reviews say: a hidden gem: pretty but not chintzy.. great value for money- huge sausage rolls and a tomato soup that had lots of "homemade" flavour.

Perfect, hidden coffee shop. We stopped for light lunch before going to Elmlea Nature reserve. Perfect quiet tea shop, go if you're in the area and the opportunity arises.

Really lovely little tea room and gift shop. We got there just as they were closing but as our guest had come all the way from New Zealand, Rachel sorted us some coffees and tea to take out and let us use the loos which were spotless. We will be back for afternoon tea with our next guest from Australia soon and now know we can also take the dog.
