Lovely place to have a walk around and see the farm animals. Horses, donkeys, goats, pigs, small pets. All well looked after, the stable block is amazing with each horses name and history.

Great place. The animals are well loved and looked after while they are in the care of the Sanctuary, my only problem is that I can't just adopt them all.

Have a nice little Cafe setup for your visit and a book shop which is chock full of things to discover from people who've donated for them to sell. A little pet supplies shop as well for food and toys etc.

Plenty of parking but we got there early on a Sunday and it was filling up quick.

Some great views of the surrounding hills as well, coincidentally.

We have adopted 2 cats from Bleakholt's, one just over a year ago and a 2nd this week. Tigger and then Tabitha (she was formerly named Rock).

I will be honest I have always been a dog guy, but these little furries have won me over and have become very much loved members of the family.

I cannot thank the staff at Bleakholt's for all that they do for animals that just need another chance.

I was particularly impressed by the amount of vetinary care these animals receive. Tigger had not been adopted because of a urinary issue and the records showed how much Bleakholt's had thrown at him in terms of care.

Clearly the adoption fee is just a drop in the ocean when compared to what Bleakholt's actually spend looking after these animals.

If you can give a little more, even if it is just a £1.

The staff are nothing short of wonderful too, many long service individuals who really do care.

A fantastic place to spend an hour or so with the animals. The whole place is wonderful, the staff and friendly and knowledgeable and the animals are all so well cared for. We sponsor a horse (Bryn Aka Brian) which is only £30 a year and we can drop in a visit whenever the sanctuary is open, no need to book. Beware though, it's hard to walk away without adopting an animal!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I adopted a cat from Bleakholt and they make the process very easy. They provide all the documents needed to easily move over their microchips and insurance. And are free to call if you have questions or concerns. The adoption fee is very reasonable, as the cats come chipped, neutered and with their vaccinations and worming done.

Visited Bleakholt on Good Friday for the first time to participate in an egg hunt. My 9 year old daughter had lots of fun walking around the sanctuary, seeing the animals and finding the clues. We bought some items from the shop once we had completed the hunt. Shop was well stocked at reasonable prices, staff were friendly. Lots of parking available.
