I have been attending AMS Opticians for the past 30 years & can wholeheartedly recommend them to entrust the health of your eyes. The owner Ari has a lovely manner & genuinely cares about his customers who he considers to be his friends & the front of house team (Rose & Sue) are cut from the same cloth & welcome you inside the store with a friendly smile & are super helpful when it comes to selecting frames etc. In this day & age of retail superstores it’s testament to the AMS team that the business has not only survived but continues to thrive & I’m proud to be able to support such a successful local business. AMS is by far the best opticians in Croydon, not just in Purley. Mr Savvides is an expert in his field, you'll get an over the top examination and a detailed advice, frankly one of the best out there. Customer service is excellent, the ladies at the reception are always joyful, helpful, and will guide you on every step of your decision. Great and up to date frames collection. You really can't miss it.

I have been having optical reviews and lenses in this clinic for many years now and always have received an outstanding bespoke personal service.

Mr Savvides excells as a knowledgeable, skilled and committed Optometrist, ensuring the highest standards are met whilst I get a thorough check of my sight, the perfect prescription and the highest standard lenses with the coolest comfortable frames.

The receptionists / Spectacle technician ladies at the reception are also a joy, with a friendly smile and offering a "can do" attitude on every occasion. They do not hesitate to go that extra mile to help out.

All in all I highly recommend this practice for their resourceful approach, highest standards of customer service and Optical diagnosis, ample choice of frames. The perfect choice of optician.

Great service! I went to AMS Purley for a routine eye chece. To my amazement, the optician provided a world class service, Including a FREE gloucoma eye test. As result, i ended up buying pescription glasses with the help of the lovely ladies whom spent a good 10min making sure that i chose the correct frame suited for my features and appropriate for my line of work. Very impressive!

Unbelievable service! I popped into AMS Ophthalmic Opticians simply seeking advice on a slight issue I had with a couple of pairs of sunglasses. The lady I dealt with was so helpful and actually fixed the issue for me straight away without any quibble, despite the sunglasses not even being purchased from here. The customer service I received was simply fantastic and I would highly recommend AMS Ophthalmic Opticians.

Had an appointment booked for weeks, took time off work and drove over an hour to get my eyes tested. I had just turned off the car on Purley High street after parking to walk into the office and received a call that my appointment had been cancelled.

Very disappointing, I’d advise to have a back up appointment if you are booked here… I won’t be going back.
