Lovely shop with range of products. Dog treats and water available as you enter. I had left my phone behind in the shop and one of the gents came all the way out to find me and let me know. So kind of him to go out of his way. They even charged it for me which was a nice touch. I’m not local either so it was much appreciated. Unparalleled customer service. Very helpful and friendly. Thank you so much; made my day.

Whilst very busy, one of the workers managed to find the time to find a zip slider that we desperately needed to fix the door on our trailer tent. And tell me how to go about fitting it. We were in a spot of trouble and set up on a campsite half an hour away with a tarpaulin covering the door to keep the rain out.
Hugely grateful for the help and could only have cost what it cost them to stock.

Excellent staff and very knowledgeable in all outdoor activities so well able to assist in clothing- selection, tents bikes etc based on your requirements. Good selection of tents, clothing,sleeping bags,mats, food, cookers , pots etc.

I visited alpkit this morning. With ridley mid ride. On route I do often.
My ridley add been serviced by a local bike shop near alferton.
This cost a pretty expensive service.
The gears didn't index
I had to sort myself. SO BE WARNED DO NOT USE A LOCAL BIKE REPAIR SHOP NEAR ALFERTON...

Now back to my alpkit review.
The young helpful shop assistant.
Who knew a little about bikes etc. Discovered the issue with my ridley.
Which sadly made my bike unrideunable.

He was deeply sorry.

My bike was booked in for the repair.

I was offered a loan bike...

Which I was thrilled about.
Bike in question . A Sonder prima AL.
Very solid ride on this bike.
Shimano 105 12 speed groupset with hydraulic disc brakes.
Sonders finishing kit saddle seat post , stem and handlebars.
Good alrounder starter road bike
Climbes well for an AL frame, and ride great on the flat

The bike department offered me terrible advice. And sold a bike I did not want or need based on there own recommendations. Terrible communcations it took about 15 emails to eventually get to sitting on the bike. They sold me a colour they did not have for a bike that was not fit for my intended purpose. Total waste of 7 weeks. I will not ever be using this shops bike department again.

I took my ageing North Face Goretex jacket in there with the seam tapes falling off, and a lovely lady called Lizzy did a great repair job of it, sealing all the seams and applying new tape. It's a very old jacket but one that I really love wearing and she has given it a new lease of life. Someone who shows professional pride in doing the job properly. I thoroughly recommend them for repairs.
