We had stumbled on this beach cafe yesterday by our local guide and local resident G and we had enjoyed a lovely hot drink of a cast iron pot of tea and a pottery mug.

We had sat and enjoyed the fresh air and the joys of looking out to sea at the beach with the tide out showing off the rocks which lie across the waterfront.

Niton Beach was just a stones throw away.

Fantastic food. Not easy to park. Book early to be sure of a table.

Perfect, but may not be for everyone. It's a cafe/grill restaurant serving some of the best food on the island at a price, and it is a long walk from the road so set your expectations accordingly. Once you've done that, you'll be in for one of the best experiences on the island - loved it!

When you finally get down to the restaurant / cafe the views are to die for but the road down is horrific and you will need to be careful not to damage your car on the way down.

We ordered bao buns and some small plates as we wanted to try variety, don’t order anymore than 3 small plates between two after bao buns as you won’t eat it all.

Our bao buns tasted sensational with some being Korean pork and the others being soft shell crab.

We also enjoyed a jug of freshly made pimms which had the most incredible flavour with lots of lovely fresh fruit too.

The only reason I have not given 5 stars is due to the approach, the rest of the experience was really enjoyable for the money.

Not a cafe as it advertises itself, but an overpriced restaurant. We ordered drinks and looked at our menu, expecting staff to return to take our order. Half an hour later, the four staff members were still occupied chatting and looking at their phones, rather than serving the mere three tables of customers they had in. We decided if they are going to charge £28 for a burger, they should have the service to go with it. We paid for our drinks, left and got lunch elsewhere.

Having read all the good reviews I was excited to visit this cafe/restaurant, but our visit was not the best. The location is great, the atmosphere was lively and the waitress was also lovely and helpful but I wasn't impressed with the food.
The starter arrived quickly and was good but the main took ages to arrive and then when it did, it was stone cold. It was a wagyu burger and at first I thought that I had just got salad and dressing and had somehow missed the meat, it was that cold. The next bite I ate was just burger (because I was suspicious now) it was cold. Of course I sent it back and waited while the rest of my group ate. When they were finished, my mains arrived. This time it was fine but still marginal on being hot.
For the price, the meal really didn't represent good value or excellence. It was just ok. There are plenty of choices on the Island with really excellent food, I'm afraid this isn't one of those.

Really fantastic food with a Japanese twist. The bass and monkfish were super fresh and the Asian slaw was delish. Would definitely come more often if we lived closer.
