100% credit rating with all the other lenders and offered finance, yet refused a car leasing deal with ALD. Firstly because of affordability, then on my complaint by letter and telephone plus proof of my ability to easily cover all the payments, for a reason that they are not allowed to divulge to me? Why not? I'm the applicant. Maybe it was the Universe saying I shouldn't have anything to do with ALD? Their Trustpilot review score is far worse than my credit score.

do not use at all costs - i will be contacting trading standards and filing a claim for compensation.their service is diabolical! i have a new car on finance which is non drivable and they cannot arrange a repair until February. the car is less than a year old and i am paying over 650 per month for their supposed service. their response was i wouldn't of chosen that vehicle....clearly a company with no interest or idea what customer service is! they have not contacted me or got back to about me regarding this matter and it has been over a 3 weeks. you can see why their reviews are so bad! if you have any sense do not use this company!

Great to deal with. All calls are handled within the U.K. by staff who can speak English and are easy to understand aside from being extremely helpful. What a refreshing change from dealing with a call centre on the other side of the globe struggling to resolve an issue with someone who’s mastery of English is ropey at best. Well done ALD for employing fantastic people and to all the staff I spoke with, thanks for your help. 10/10

Avoid this leasing company at all costs. My dad passed away in July, I asked to extend my milage as my now widowed mum was alone hundreds of miles away and was refused because the car was so close to the contract ending in September.

With no choice but to do the drive to look after her I accrued 4,000 or so extra miles. ALD then billed me for nearly £1,000! I asked could anything be done on compassionate grounds and the woman refused despite me asking for an increase in my milage.

They then sent me a bill for £645 for some small dents they found sending me some blurred photos as proof. When I asked for photos that clearly show the damage they tell me the cars been sold at Auction.

I told them I'm going through the financial ombudsman and today they have sent me another threatening letter for money overdue.

Honestly these people are sneaky rats, do not use them to lease a car, because they'll screw you over when you hand it back.

Painful from start to finish! Purchased a new car from Ford years ago and the finance was sorted via ALD. Trying to sell the car at the end and dealing with ALD to raise invoices, tell me they have received money and then releasing the left over funds to me was a very painful process. I wouldn't recommend them whatsoever and I certainly won't be coming back! AVOID!

ALD are a wonderful company to work with. I have been with them for a number of years and had a number of scenarios from change of address, novation of vehicle and also extending the lease beyond the end of term. In all instances the staff have been super helpful and very accommodating always. I would highly recommend ALD Automotive.
