Great practice I have had nothing but exceptional service from them. Recent consultation with Dr Sheppard-Hickly I felt she went above and beyond to get the right outcome for me. All the family gets great service from Whittaker Lane. Would highly recommend.

I asked for a doctors appointment. I was told by the receptionist. good luck with that and she gave a smirk. if I told the inland revenue good luck with that when thay ask for my ni contributions what would happen.

This practice is a shambles , they are putting lives at risk , unable to get appointment . Even do Asthma reviews over the phone. Phones are not answered and today they have messed my medication up! Been in 3 times today to sort this out feel very frustrated! Incompetence at its finest. Looking for a new surgery .

This uses to be such a good surgery. It saved my life on one point. But the last few years it's gotten so bad. Can't get appointments for anything. I know the NHS is on its knees but there's got to be sme way you can at least get on the phone to someone.. been trying for days every morning and can't even get through. Calls don't connect, get dropped as you get to the front of the line.. it's soul destroying.

Had 2 appointments in the last few months with my baby. Spoken to the same day by GPs and both times needed referrals which were done very quickly. Excellent care from the 2 doctors we have seen. Debbie the practice nurse has also been excellent!

A once wonderful GP that seems to have fallen prey to privatisation.

Before, it was simple to walk through the door and book an appointment - now you have to have to go via private provider to check whether or not the kind of appointment you're looking for is 'free.'

It made my blood run cold seeing £ signs next to certain treatments.

There was once a time when you could simply ask for an appointment and allow your GP to assess what the issue and go from there.

Now, you have to self-assess (even if you're not entirely sure what your issue may be) and the 'Private Care' option tells you 'just go to this place - they charge £xx for that.'

This is why the NHS needs protecting.

I give two stars, because when I do manage to get in there, the staff are lovely - it's just a shame what's happened to the place.

Myself and my family have been several times over the past 3 months. Each time I have not had any issues getting through to the practice and had a call back the same day or offered an appointment the same day. The service has been great.

I have been a patient at this surgery for years. Over the last few years they have become beyond terrible. I really need a call back from a doctor; I ring EVERY day at 8am and half an hour later I am STILL waiting to get through! I am usually at position 1 or 2 but none of the receptionists bother to answer the phone! They are busy dealing with people coming in to the surgery but shouldn’t there be another receptionist answering the phones?
I am desperate to get a call back and it’s just impossible.
I have even tried going in when I can but got no where. I basically told the receptionist I really need someone to talk to but they just aren’t interested.
I am on hold once again as I am typing this but no one is bothering to answer my call. It’s just impossible.
No wonder the reviews on here are terrible. I think it’s time to find another doctors. Someone that actually cares about their patients and well-being.
UPDATE; I just got through and was told by a VERY rude receptionist the doctor I needed to speak to isn’t in until next week. She was so unhelpful and even laughed down the phone when I told her I try every day and struggle to get through! DISGUSTING.
