First visited in July after being booked in and being told that it was a 6 week wait. I dropped the car off where the garage had it for over a month, trying to sort out a cold start issue. I had to constantly chase for updates and was never provided with a quote for the repair despite numerous requests. After collecting the car, I was told that the car also needed a new fuel pump and a water pump and was told that the job card would be left open if I was able to get the parts. I also noticed that half a tank of fuel had been used in that one month the car was in the garage, which I consider strange as they were investigating a cold start issue not sure why that much fuel would be used.

I contacted the garage two weeks later only to be told that it was another 6 week delay to get booked in. I thought fine I will wait. However, this is where things got worse. When dropping off the car on a Saturday, I was told that the car would be ready for Monday and that I should prepare to collect the car then. I received no updates until Friday where I chased for an update only to be told the car was only now going on the ramp.

I then received a call that evening stating that my water pump had 2 siezed bolts and that they couldn't be removed and they would only try and remove them if I committed to a 10 hour labour Job incase they broke the bolts (which is clearly shocking, I have never had a garage quote 10 hours to remove a broken bolt before). Shockingly, I was told that I should look at the value of the car and consider scrapping it over two seized bolts. I told the garage that I will just collect the car as I could see clearly they didn't have time to do the job or weren't interested. I was then also charged for half the job of replacing the water pump. Again I wasn't provided with a quote for the job before hand.

I then drove the car home where it was parked for 2 weeks until I made a trip to London which is about 30 miles only to have the car die on me on the way back home. The cause of the breakdown was coolant hoses leaking on top of the alternator(which were removed and put back on by the garage and then not tightened). I then had to have my car recovered and alternator repaired (this alternator was a year old). I mentioned this to Chris who insisted that he would only cover half the cost as he would have fixed it for me if I had recovered my car to him which would have cost more and would have been a huge inconvenience to myself. Not to mention the previous delays and I simply didn't trust him to work on the car.

To make matters worse I have just replaced the water pump on my car and failed to find even one siezed bolt that as Chris stated "wanted to break". So I was charged for half a job despite the water pump being easily accessible and removable. Would not recommend anyone to use this garage as they have literally wasted my time and money.
