We made it clear from the outset that our planning application was going to be difficult and that we would need support in the event of a refusal or any issues. After submitting our application, an issue surrounding Highways then soon arose. We were then advised to withdraw the application, whereupon we lost our application fees. It became very apparent that Phillips Planning would much rather maintain their good relationship with the council rather than fight our corner. We were left with no support or real solutions to the way forward. Therefore, we found our own way forward and found a solution, which should of been included in the orignial application!! We were then billed for someone elses planning application (contary to data protection act) which they denied. Two years later (yes two years) we were then billed for the correct application and threatened to be taken to court. This is in despite of the poor service, the loss of application fees and the impact to our business. a reduction of 19% of the bill was agreed, but didnt even cover the loss of the application fees. Overall, impersonal and unprofessional service. Steer clear!!
