I was recommended to use Guitar Works by Sam formerly of Savage Messiah. I had a brand new USA Fender guitar with factory finish flaw on the fretboard that caused discomfort. Fender refused to cover this under their warranty. Ian repaired it to better than new as you can see in the photos! It is not every day that you get a luthier that provides better service and craftsmanship than the world's largest guitar maker! 10 out of 10 will use again! Sending all of my work to Guitar Works moving forward!

Ian does such an incredible job setting up guitars that it actually ruins visiting guitar stores because none of the guitars play anywhere near as well as the ones Ian sets up. It doesn’t matter if you spend 4K on a custom shop build, i would always send it to Ian for a setup because he operates at another level. I would recommend going out of your way to let Ian setup your guitar or do work on it.

Ian@Guitarworks refinished the neck on my beloved 90s US Strat. The finished result was far far superior to the original factory finish. The grain now really pops and it feels so smooth to play. He also fret dressed and setup the guitar. It now plays better than ever. I can’t recommend this luthier enough. He’s so knowledgeable and brilliant at delivering exactly what you want as a player.

Ian was absolutely fantastic! I dropped of an absolute dog of a guitar that other luthers had failed to get up to scratch.

I was kept up to date with everything that needed doing and got progress reports everu step of the way. Now the guitar feels like a completely different instrument and it's absolutely amazing!

Would recommend Ian to anyone for absolutely any work needed. Top bloke and the best Luther around.
