Operationally Findon Place is one of the best wedding venues in the UK, Caroline has thought of everything for guests staying and those attending the wedding. The gardens, house and grounds are immaculate and the rooms are beautiful. The staff that work at the venue cannot be more helpful and do everything with a smile! Its a venue I would like to work at yearly with endless possibilities and an amazing team led by the wonderful Caroline that makes the process and the running of the day a breeze.

Imagine! You think you know your local area and then suddenly you discover a magical location right on your doorstep.

I love visiting gardens with Mum. I believe I read about the National Garden Scheme in our local directory mgs.org.uk.

Findon Place was open to view the gardens on 21 July. Delightful. Colourful blooms greeted us in the walled garden, apple trees, vegetable beds..

To finish, scones topped with strawberries and cream and a whole array of scrummy cakes with tea, whilst enjoying the views across Findon.

An absolutely top notch summer's afternoon - blooming marvellous.

I feel extremely lucky to have a venue like Findon Place on my doorstep and feel so privileged to be able to attend functions and events here now that the house has been opened up to the public and what an incredible house it is! As a wedding guest I can tell you the setting is just spectacular, the owner and her staff go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and relaxed, nothing is too much trouble. You are made to feel like an honoured guest at a beautiful country house estate. I have also attended several summer events such as the open air theatre evenings and earlier this year the opera. The atmosphere has always been jovial with everyone enjoying the beautiful surroundings, the drinks and the general feeling of fun and relaxation. This is not a stuffy old country house by any means and if I were ever to get married again there would be absolutely no where else I would even consider but Findon Place.

If we could, we would give 10+ stars. We just celebrated our wedding at Findon Place and the experience was magical from start to finish. The Findon Place team go above and beyond and think of everything possible to ensure that all guests have the most amazing time. The house is stunning and Caroline’s attention to detail is second to none. No stone is left unturned with the service the team provide, from amazing breakfasts to cure the hangover and the chocolates left on our bed. A special thank you also to the wider FP team who are so warm and helpful.

A weekend we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Thank you.

It's a shame because the venue is beautiful, but the owner is rude and unapproachable.

My brother had his wedding here, and Findon Place is a stunning venue nestled in rolling hills. But the owner of the venue was quite unpleasant, disagreeable and argumentative. Her staff were faultless and very kind and polite, but it's sad the same cannot be said for her. To be perfectly honest, I found it odd that she was there on the day of the wedding, on what should have been a blissful day, I was made uncomfortable by her unwelcoming presence. Despite this, we were perfectly pleasant and polite with her.

All guests at the wedding were completely respectful and we were far from a rowdy crowd. But to police a zero cigarette butt policy that charges per butt found is, in my opinion, harsh. I understand this is a beautiful venue and myself and my family would never litter, but it's difficult to manage this across all guests, especially in the evening. A notable amount of money was taken off the deposit as a result, which was a shame.

Additionally, at breakfast the owners dogs were running around the breakfast table and begging for food. I love dogs but some of the other guests found this uncomfortable.

Overall, a lovely venue, but the owner brings an unpleasant atmosphere, that quite frankly is not worth the stress, particularly on yours or your loved ones wedding day.

Findon Place was a truly wonderful location in which to celebrate our wedding with our friends and family. The house itself combines historic elegance, subtle modern features, and the warmth of feeling in your own home. The grounds are also amazing, with an open lawn, an enclosed garden, a herb garden, a tennis court, and swimming pool. Because we were able to arrive on Friday afternoon and stay through till Sunday afternoon, this gave us time to settle in and feel relaxed, as well as some time swimming and reflecting on the wedding day around the pool on the Sunday.

The rooms were all beautiful and uniquely styled. An especially remarkable feature was the Cloud Room, an incredibly serene space accessible from the main bedroom. We loved this space because of its intimacy and calmness both before the wedding for the bride, and for both of us to catch a moment's rest.

The staff were all exceptionally kind, professional and helpful. They worked with all our suppliers to deliver the day we had dreamed off. A very important shout-out to Caroline, the visionary behind Findon Place, who is the owner and host. Not only did Caroline welcome us many times as we prepared for our big day, she also took a huge interest in our ideas for the weekend, and always provided sage advice and creative insight.

Having our Wedding Reception at Findon Place, made our weekend extra special and all of our guests have told us how much they loved the place too.

Our huge thanks to Caroline and the team at Findon.

We fell in love with Findon the first time we viewed it - it was the perfect mix of intimate and homely whilst still having a real wow factor. We first visited in early spring, in the rain and we thought - well if we love it now it can only be more beautiful for our summer wedding and we were right. We made full use of everything the venue has to offer - Caroline treated us to an afternoon tea when we arrived on the day before our wedding, we had our ceremony in the Cedar garden, the drinks reception in the walled garden, jazz and speeches in the hall, food and dancing in the ballroom and a brunch the next day in the drawing room and outside by the pool!

Throughout, Caroline’s staff were absolutely amazing - incredibly helpful and friendly.
