We held my sisters baby shower for twenty guests at the castle. The castle itself is beautiful and the location and views are stunning.
Joy the event manager and Lucy were fantastic at communicating and supporting prior to the event, with follow up calls and emails as needed.
The day itself went seamlessly. Joy and Lucy were so attentive and whilst professional made us feel so welcome.
We had afternoon tea which was a great standard and the service was impeccable. All the guests were catered too and nothing was too much trouble. It made the whole experience truly enjoyable and memorable.
I would highly recommend Lympne castle for an event and cannot thank the team enough for all their hard work.
This will be my first choice for any future events.

We had such a great experience at Lympne Castle when we recently hired the West Wing for a special family event. We were able to decorate the room as we wished beforehand; the events team (Laura and Dan) were professional, accommodating and generally very helpful; the waiting staff on the day were also professional and friendly, and the food was delicious. We were offered various packages to suit our requirements, and able to adapt these further where necessary. Added to all this, we enjoyed a stunning view from the bay window, as well as exclusive access to the private garden. Everyone has said how much they enjoyed the day and that the venue and the staff were excellent.

We got married at Lympne Castle a few weeks ago and it was perfect. The location is outstanding - a beautiful castle, stunning grounds and a view over the sea. The staff are friendly and hard working. Joy - the event manager - was fantastic to work with, and made sure our day flowed seamlessly and enjoyably. I love what the new owners have done with castle - keeping its history and beauty while adding some quirky new features such as the dog-themed bistro and medieval bar. Couldn't recommend this location more highly. Not just for weddings, but for any sort of event, or casual lunch/drink. Will be back many, many more times.

My partner and I viewed Lympne Castle while deciding on our wedding venue. We didn’t end up choosing Lympne, purely just due to liking some of the building features of another venue better, but it was a really hard decision. Joy, who showed us around, was absolutely amazing. So considerate, so warm and put up with one of my bridal party asking about twenty million questions like an absolute pro. There was a real sense that whatever kind of vibe we wanted, the team would make it work - and Joy was really considerate of cost, too. If the other venue didn’t exist we 1000% would have had our wedding here and I’m sure that we would have been extremely well looked after. The naughty dog bistro round the corner is excellent as well, and all the staff were lovely and really considerate about allergies. We’ll definitely be back to stay.

“Vegetarian” Sunday Roast at Lympne Castle
We always go out for Sunday lunch when our schedules permit.
We don’t regard ourselves as culinary experts on the various Sunday lunches offered by pubs and restaurants in a 30 mile radius of Ashford, Kent, however we are experienced in assessing such offerings for vegetarian pallets.
On Sunday 5th January, 2025, we enjoyed our first Sunday Lunch of the New Year, and what better place than our favourite venue, Lympne Castle.
On arrival, a warm welcome is always extended to us by the very friendly and accommodating staff who always attend to even the smallest of detail… (on a square table, Paul always sits to Neelam’s right, and our table was laid accordingly), and the crackling log fires added to the overall warm medieval ambiance.
Our obvious choice was the “Homemade” Veggie Nut Roast served with a rich Tomato and Basil Sauce, Roast Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables, followed by a tasty desert (with two spoons) 🙂
The service was attentive, but not overbearing; the generous portions of nut roast and locally sourced vegetables cooked to perfection, represented excellent value for money.
Needless to say, devouring the main course left very little room for desert, never the less, Paul always seems to manage it!
On retiring to the adjacent snug, we enjoyed a beverage whilst sat next to a welcoming log fire… what better way to end a memorable Sunday Lunch experience at Lympne Castle.
We highly recommend Lympne Castle for your next Sunday Lunch if you are looking for a wonderful romantic venue, with stunning views, exceptional hospitality, captivating charm that invites you to step back into a bygone medieval era.

Had a most delicious Sunday roast. Served with abundance of veggies and gravy... Enjoyed how the staff were dressed up in medieval costumes, making it feel realistic. Service was exceptional and friendly. Wonderful gardens and view over the horizon. Parking is a little troublesome but not a major problem.

We had drinks and dog snacks at The Naughty Dog. Staff are really friendly, and the bar has a lovely relaxing feel. Sadly, we got there too late to order food. So I can't wait to go back to try some.

Book this for your wedding/reception - you won’t be disappointed!

So we got married in the church (next door) and hired out one of the rooms in the castle for our reception.

I can’t fault the service. It was spectacular and really made our day special. I don’t think I’ve ever had service like that where the staff are so professional, personable and just amazing all round. We were aware that we didn’t hire out the venue or anything like that specifically for our wedding - it was a room in the castle so we didn’t really expect much. But the staff made us feel like we did. They even roped in some of the gardeners to pull smoke bombs for one of our pictures! The staff made every effort. Laura and Mike were great and went beyond expectations. We just have no complaints at all with anything. It was an amazing day.

The castle itself is picture perfect and for us was the perfect setting. It’s rich in history and the attention to details is incredible. There’s multiple rooms of varying sizes. We had a small wedding so hired out one of the smaller rooms but it looks like they can cater to a wedding of any size. We also stayed in one of the cottages within the castle grounds along with the guests which were equally perfect.

Pretty much every wedding I’ve been to the food has been mediocre at best. But the food here was great. Everybody really enjoyed the food. The kitchen obviously know what they’re doing so kudos to them.

This is honestly the best place to have your wedding. You’re in very safe hands with the staff here, the castle is gorgeous (and the views!) and the we couldn’t think of a better place to do it.

Thank you for the special day!
