This hotel is attractive looking and very well located for visiting the centre of Lichfield and all its beautiful buildings, including the amazing cathedral. The shops, cathedral, railway and bus station are a short walk away.||The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, including reception staff and the breakfast waitress. They could not have done more.||We were though disappointed at having to pay to stay in their own car park and were told that if you use your car, they could not guarantee the space despite paying for one. We luckily visited when the hotel was relatively quiet and didn’t need to use our car whilst there, however if you had paid £5 per day to park, and arrived back after an hour or two site seeing, it’s possible there would be no space to park during busier periods despite having paid. ||The overall look of the hotel is somewhat dated and tired looking. The hall and stairs carpet noticeably needed vacuuming. We were also told when booking in that the rooms aren’t serviced every day, but if we needed this then to let them know. This wasn’t a problem to us as we were only staying for two nights.||The room itself was adequate but again, dated. The linen was clean but the bathroom needed renovating and didn’t look spotless. There was Wi-Fi available but this was intermittent. The breakfast service was amazing with a very friendly and helpful waitress, with a lot to choose from the menu and the quality of the food was acceptable, but not amazing.||Overall, this is a nice hotel with lovely staff, but the building simply needs some money spending on it, which I appreciate can be costly. The staff made our stay a very pleasant one.

We stayed 2 nights at the weekend and were impressed with the standard of service provided. The staff work tirelessly and cheerfully. Consequently breakfast is relaxed as well as welcoming and fresh. For other meals they offer a discount at their sister hotel nearby. And there’s a comfy bar. The room was quiet, clean, warm and well supplied. We’d stay again, it’s very well placed and has car parking. The age of the building means it’s probably not easily accessed if disabled.|We will return next year!

Went here for work christmas party and it was lovely. The 3 course meal was delicious and the atmosphere was great.

Tiny improvement would have been the music choice. Some songs were songs we could dance to but overall such a lovely night. Would happily go again.

Stayed here and found the hotel extremely comfortable. Good location right near town, clean rooms, nice little bar, own parking are all positives. Staff were also friendly. Enjoyed a nice breakfast, will likely stay again. Hotel little dated but it does not detract from the comfort.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, in particular Peter on the front desk when we arrived. The room was large and comfortable. It was very clean and tidy, ideal for a short stay to visit the city and cathedral which was a short walk away.

Hotel with car park at rear, only ten minutes from the river and Lichfield Cathedral, town centre and attractions. The room was satisfactory with comfortable bed and a bath in the bathroom. Staff were most helpful, and breakfast was excellent.

Nice hotel, Comfortable and clean to a degree rooms (found some hair in bathroom & stained carpets) Beds are comfortable & a Quiet nights sleep.
Nice staff, lovely breakfast, both cooked and help yourself continental.

Car park out the back, you do have to pay £5 to use it. We were able to park our large Van.

Only a 5 minute walk into the town where there’s lots of shops and places to eat.
