These guys couldn’t have been more helpful after we turned up with a gas leak asking for help. They quite literally dropped everything and spent 2 hours sorting it out so we could get on our way and enjoy our long weekend. Very competitively priced too - and expert advice for our thought about upgrade to a diesel heater (booked in with them and means we get to spend another long weekend in this delightful area). We can’t thank them enough and highly recommend

Haltwhistle Caravans bailed us out of a huge hole this morning after we had no power to the lights on our caravan. We were due to return home after staying at Herding Hill (just up the road) and were recommended them by the owners of the site. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and were happy to help. Their excellent knowledge and experience meant that the problem was very quickly diagnosed, and we were about to walk into Haltwhistle for a brew while they fixed the issue. We were soon on our way after paying their very competitive prices. Thank you so much. You saved the day!

I took my camper to Mark Knowles at the beginning of August 2023 as I had electrical issues involving the power supply unit, solar panel, absorption fridge and the leisure battery discharging even when travelling. Mark has a very pleasant demeanor and gives the impression that he is competent at what he does. DO NOT BE FOOLED!!! In January 2024 after earlier being told that the problems had been fixed which they patently had not, I insisted that my van was returned to me. He said that the problems had been addressed, I JUST WANTED IT BACK!!!! For the pleasure of having lost the use of my camper for nearly 6 months I paid the princely sum of £623.95. On getting it home not only did all the previous problems still exist, he had managed to induce more safety critical problems as well with his incompetent tampering!!! I emailed and wrote to Mark, the letter by recorded delivery and no contact has been made. I have had the work carried out by a competent contractor which took a day's work, unfortunately another bill for £655 but at least everything now works as it should. I have informed Mark of the situation and asked how he intended to resolve it; no reply as usual. He has left me no choice other than to take action through consumer law. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!!

It's really unfortunate, but this guy is beyond useless. I wanted an awning fitted, not a big job, but it ended up being a 2-3 month long saga. He never picked up the phone, emails, texts. Every time I went there to see what was going on, I was greeted by the same nice guy demeanor. He gave all the excuses, but it all just boils down to being bad at what he does. Avoid like dog mess

Took my van there to get kitted out...the van were there 4months and eventually I took it back 3rd done...supposed to be done in 2weeks tops...
Were do I start..he used 2core house wire instead of 12volt my wiring caught a light and smoked it all out..lights would fail..solar panel never ever worked. Diesel heater work sometimes.. he ordered me a battey leisure apparently but it were of a truck battery.. my trickle charger wire always came of.. he used duct tape instead of electrical tape..
Promised me a certificate for gas never got one.. always full of promises this and that... he has his son working for him who has a totally different option on things..then he has a young lad who well what can I say..
I were very nice to him got him wine and beers for the staff at first and no thank you...after i paid my 3200 bill I purchased tea coffee sugar jar.. there were a £1 he chame for them after handing over £3211pound.. avoid him like the plauge or you will regret it.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read reviews below. This is a very bad business. He's a con man, who takes money and gives excuse after excuse for delaying the work, when the work is done, it is of terrible, dangerous quality. Don't use this business, they need to be shut down and reported to trading standards. Keep an eye on tv guide, ROUGE TRADERS he will be on TV soon for all the dodgy work!

It's taken me a long while to write this as I was so upset. In summary, shoddy work, cost me a fortune getting his work corrected, van returned with parts taped on, had it for three weeks instead of three days and work still not completed. Dangerous electrical work done.
Didn't respond to text, calls etc. If you value your van and your mental health don't be fooled by the fact he appears to be a friendly guy.

If you value your sanity do not use this repair business for caravans and the like. We have had 4 months of endless unanswered phone calls, emails, messages. Even had to make a 260 mile round trip just for an update, twice!!
At the off Mark is a very polite, pleasant and knowledgeable guy, as are the lads, but don't be misguided because he completely disregards the need for communication.
And to add insult to injury the work is not perfect and it cost us over £3000 and he told us that people like us are putting people like him out of business.
