The post office side is slow and not to friendly and if you are unlucky (most of the time in this shop) and no assistant is at the shop side of the check out you could be standing the
for a long time.. the post office side are too busy to serve you. The staff here don't seem to enjoy their work here but that's only from my observation. and from other customers standing in the long ques in this little shop....

With the closure of high street banks lots of folks now use or even rely on the PO for basic transactions like paying in cash and exchanging notes to coins, in this store the staff make this very problematic to the point they are disinterested in serving you and even put out that you have turned up and interrupted them.

Lots of other reviews have highlighted similar issues, poorly trained staff, differing hours, slow service and an overall lack of engagement, such a shame as it could be a fantastic community facility.

Website states it is open until 10pm every night, however numerous times I have beeen turned away as there isn't any staff who know how to work the post office. Change the hours on the website advertised or train people up to the job, so frustrating! I have just been asked to come back in the morning "when Nicola Is back" however I am on holiday in the morning which is why I wanted to send my parcel today! No apologies just a shrug of the shoulders from the staff because they don't give a hoot about good service.

Furious with the abysmal service in this store. It's so bad people don't even know which queue to stand in for the Post Office or for what is now Morrison's shop for starters.

The lady with the burgundy hair and ponytail in this branch is uneducated, brash, and clueless. I had an international return to Amazon.de and printed out all relevant paperwork from the app. This fills out the address and all customs details for you. Apparently on bringing it to the counter, this lady told me the address was not complete. I needed to fill it out further. I can't fill out additional details on an address that was automatically filled out for me - I don't have those details to give. She wouldn't hear any of it and spoke down to me as if I was the one intellectually challenged.

To make matters worse, she told me I should have posted the invoice on the 'front' and the return address on the 'back'. This is the equivalent of telling me which way is 'front' and 'back' on a blank piece of A4 paper. Just flip it over: it's a wrapped bubble envelope! There was no front or back! Just an absolute load of diarrhoea. I drove out of my way to another Post Office branch who were utterly fantastic, looked at my same parcel, processed it in full and addressed my concerns completely. No further address details needed. They even gave me all of my options regarding tracked and signed. But it was still a trip I did not need to make.

I've never said this before but frankly she needs sacking. Locals are avoiding the place like the plague and it doesn't take long talking to folk on the street or in nearby pubs to hear the horror stories from this place. Post Office need to take note, because this is a service people need and simply can't access anymore. They're going to other branches in droves. I'd be shocked if this place lasted another year.

Nicola very helpful today with a query. On the whole very slow service. Phone number advertised does not work as the phone is actually in the previous post office. Call Morrison's if you need to speak to them. Often long queues. Two queue system confuses people and its a pain to queue twice

Older male staff member is a nightmare, my wife tried to send a parcel, she was told needed a box, purchased one in the shop and then asked to rejoin queue, got to front, same staff member then asked her to put the box together it wasn't his job, had to leave counter and rejoin queue, waited 20 minutes, got to the front and same staff member said ‘ sorry I do not take that parcel, you need the other one other side of shop’, no wonder the staff only receive one star, that's been gracious. All need retraining in customer service and start by getting rid of him.

I had went to the post office on a Saturday after checking the website which stated that it didn't close until 10pm, however after getting there for business purposes with my 21 month old I was told that it closes at half 12 on a Saturday. Due to their website being wrong and/or outdated I could take this further and get them into serious trouble for this.
