Bin collections are a joke. Loaders spit on gardens, kick weights off bins at the houses, damage property. Leave bins a million miles away. They swear at people. Management aren't bothered, lie through their teeth. They admit they are understaffed which is working against their own policies, massive health and safety risk. Constantly dropping bins which creates mess which residents have to clean up.

I thought BT or East Northants Council were the aribiters of incompetence and bad service but this lot are in a different league! The condescending, bureaucratic intransigence of these shiny seats is breathtaking. Hiding behind 'council policy' to prevent one-to-one conversations and 'data protection' when they can quite plainly see the details provided are perfectly correct to the letter, they simply dismiss you with the, quote, 'cannot discuss this account with you', unquote. This is not my idea of helpful customer service. And as for the 'you must fill in the online form' instruction, well, I would if I could, but it won't allow me! Designed, no doubt, by some myopic, clown in the bowels of the building in the council IT department, it simply is not fit for purpose with all its compusory fields that bear no relevance at all to the matter in hand. However, I can bet you a pound to a pinch of salt, they will be all over me like a rash when I stop council tax payments! As with many others who have reviewed these muppets, I would give them a minus number if I could, let alone a big fat 0! Customer service, please, don't make me laugh!

Made phone enquiries initially about obtaining historical copies of planning permission and then went to Pathfinder House to view them and arrange copies. I found the telephonist and receptionist both very helpful. They went far beyond what I would have expected in assisting me.
What I was disappointed in was the rude and intimidating behaviour of a member of the public. Whilst most staff and public appeared to convers civilly, there was one exception. I don't know how the staff put up with such people. Hence the necessityfor security guards.

Why do our councillors employ directors to sit behind desks doing nothing while they cut services and raise taxes?

Incompetent people working in the Council.
City Council: You are not an alcoholic. You do not have any addictions. If you do not use domestic violence, you do not have debts. If you are not bankrupt = No council house

The Customer service advisers here who answer general enquiries have a nasty attitude every time I or other residents I know call. If you have a complaint, instead of finding ways to remedy the issue they quickly go into an aggressive defense mode to protect one another when wrong doing is apparent and they speak to you like spit on the ground. Tbh I honestly feel bad for the lady who picked up the phone yesterday and chose disrespect as her form of communication and topped it off by hanging the phone up on me when enquiring about whether bin men should be digging in the bins of residents. Such behaviour is of one who is unfulfilled in her line of work and lacks standard people skills for a customer facing role. Like I always say, if you hate your job, quit and find somewhere that brings you fulfillment and don't spread your negativity and bad vibes to others because you are unhappy.

The district council that destroys ancient woodland in order to sell the wood for cricket bats!!

There’s literally a sign from the council announcing an ancient woodland, where you can now see a bunch of stubs and massacred trees. Absolutely brutal!!

In the age of climate change our council sells our future for a quick money earner. I’m appalled, utterly disgusting.

This woodland was home to so many animals, it was a calming riverside walk where anyone could enjoy the natural beauty and unwind. Now it’s a barren wasteland, home to nothing.

The cretin that permitted this destruction is called Helen Lack.
